Ok, I'm just going to post all the info I know in regards to crystallized/studded jeans and where you can get the embellishments because I get lots of PMs about this stuff. List still needs a lot of work, formatting, organization, and help from y'all!

Oh, and the best place to get nailhead studs (you know, the ones with the prongs) is Swarovski Rhinestone Heart Swarovski Rhinestone Flat Back Acrylic Rhinestones. He has a large selection.

For single crystals, best place is Swarovski Beads, Silver Beads, Glass Beads, Charms, Clasps, Alphabet Beads, Jewelry Wire - Artbeads.com.
Rhinestoneshop.com is also a good place (cheaper than artbeads), but sells only packets of 144 crystals (1 gross). Also, he doesn't have size 8ss hotfix. Swarovski Rhinestone Heart Swarovski Rhinestone Flat Back Acrylic Rhinestones also has crystals, but i think the minimum quantity is 2 gross, depending on the color and size.


7FAM crystal jeans:

A-pocket:
  • Carribean Tricolor Purple crystals, Nordstrom exclusive (CARP) - Swarovski 2028HF; size: 8ss; colors: light amethyst (bottom \/), amethyst (top \/), and burgandy (outer /\ of the 'A'). Anyone got a picture of these? PM me if you do and don't mind me posting them here...

I need your expertise on crystals

I have a pair of VB crown stockholm crystals and I want to know what colour the crystals are and also the size of the crystal.

I suck at figuring out the crystal color just from the picture. Can you take a close up using the macro setting without flash in the daylight? Or do calibrate your camera's white balance and take a close up (no flash)?

I can't even tell what color those crowns are. My guess is that they are crystal AB, but that guess is wild without basis.

EDIT: A little more certain/guess is a bit less wild; I think those are 12ss crystal AB.

The crystal colors for the GLCP Flynts are not correct I was missing some of the pink crystals and ordered light peach but those are the lightest ones (the gold ones that you thought were light colorado). Any idea what the pink ones are? Could they be vintage rose?



BTW, the wash of the crystal roths with montana crystals is Glycerine!

No problem! At least I can use the light peach whenever I would need to replace some of the other crystals. Sorry, I meant light topaz and not light colorado!

But I'm 100% sure that the light crystals are light peach so we just need to find out what the pink ones are,... I have already ordered vintage rose and will let you know as soon as I get them if they are the right color!

hmmm im thinking about buy these crystals and put it on my ipod, im putting i on the rubber case tho. what kind of glue do you guys use? i wanna try putting it on my jeans tooo ahhh but im scared to mess up, but all the pictures u posted up looks so nicee

do you guys think i should put studs on my NYD A pockets? the A is a light tan...and I was thinking of putting silver studs -- what do you guys think? it'll be a huge thing for me because i've never done any of this customizing stuff before

well, i guess the stud thing is all a matter of taste. I personally like crystals, with the exception being the tricolor havana a pocket studs. Other than that, I don't like studded jeans too much (eg., the great china wall studs...too much for me).

mimichuachua - I suggest using some form of epoxy glue (e.g., fabric cement) for small volume crystallizing work, such as little embellishments here and there. The extremely strong, industrial strength form is something called e5000? i can't remember exactly - it's really really strong...like, carcinogen-strong. So, avoid when you can use something else. you can get glue at Rhinestoneshop.com for great prices or Beads and Beading - Swarovski Crystal Beads - Artbeads.com.

Swarovski crystals are expensive, so I prefer using cheaper crystals for things like my cell phones or ipods (unless they're more important to me than my jeans... )

Are you talking about the black ones? For some reason, i'm totally blanking on what color vancouver wash is. If i'm correct, they are crystal AB in size 8ss. Sorry...totally losing it...i'm in finals week right now.
