True Religions at TARGET.

yep. my friend was at the Target on 9th street in north St. pete. True Religion jeans....$149.00. that is a REAL bummer.
why is that a bummer?

its a bummer because I like to wear things that not everyone else has...and the 'premium' lines are not seen everywhere.. one of the reasons I like TR's is the fact that every girl running around the mall DOES NOT have them on....now they will be more mainstream..and if i wanted to wear jeans that everyone else is wearing...I would buy el' cheapo's from American Eagle...

welcome back zealot!!!! <3

I think just because they are being sold at Target now doesn't mean every girl will be wearing them. They are still $$ jeans. But if they do buy them, who cares and what is the big deal?
Besides, they are sold at a million places on-line so what is the big deal about Target?

They aren't Target brand jeans, they are still True Religion. I don't really care what other people buy/wear. I buy what I like because I like it and don't care what other people think or If I'm the only one wearing it or 10,000 other people.

I did happen to be at Target yesterday and bought a few $10 shirts I thought were super cute and I'll be wearing them with my $$ TR jeans.

Ahhh...*Thanks*
Let me return the compliment and say you are very pretty yourself.
All the sassy TR's girls are pretty gorgeous in this forum from the pics I see.

There aren't any TR's at my Target either.

I think I'd still stick to buying from Revolve,Leesa and the other memebers here though! This forum *rocks*

yes. thats your opinion and yer entitled to it.

I just am not happy that jeans that I pay hundreds of dollars for are going 'mainstream' and that is my opinion. I dont want to 'blend' into the masses....I like to have some items that are somewhat hard to find...hence why I do alot of my shopping online...

I dont care what other people wear either.. to each his own...but I also do not like to look like I just jumped off of an assembly line....hence why I like to wear higher end denim....Just feels better TO ME to have some things that are 'somewhat' unique. and that is why i will pay more for something that is 'premium' or 'couture' but hey, thats just my opinion.

maybe you don't mind. and more power to ya....but I do NOT like to be wearing the same thing that everyone else is wearing...and if Target is carrying something that USED TO BE unique to Boutiques and higher end stores...then to me it will become played out and then be everywhere...kinda like Von Dutch did...and i no longer desire things that are so readily available to every Tom, Dick and Mary.....

Premium denim being sold at Target diminishes the prestige and exclusivity of the particular brand(s) being sold there.

Honestly, if TR wants to continue getting away with $240+ retail for their jeans, they better up the ante on their brand management. But hey, they are a publicly traded company directed at the behest of their share holders...

Other than that, premium denim being sold at Target doesn't bother me so much.

Damn that blue font is kinda hard for me to read. I had to higlight all that and invert it just to read it.

Maybe I'm just color blind??

hey Denim, hey Nekked....yeah I've been lurking....just not posting...plus i had my surgery and was down for a few weeks....had those pesky implants taken out and now I am feeling mucho better...Au Natural...!

my husband secretly went on revolve and had a new pair of TR's sent to me each week that I was off.....so every Tuesday I got a package delivered....!
From what I understand, they are only selling the fugliest washes TR has produced at Target. So don't fret! You won't be seeing DPE Super Ts there any time soon.

It kind of bothers me that Target has TR. I don't want to see such a great brand get played out.

Sorry DeminZealot if I seemed rude with my opinion, I didn't mean too...

I really don't think TR's at Target will last too long either. I do see what you're saying though.
Like Zunic said also, I bet it won't be the hottest washes, no Super T's I bet . They are still pretty pricey for jeans at Target, even at 149.00. Target by me had a popular designer line and now it's gone. So we'll hope TR's don't last too long either.

Maybe people will see 149.00 for jeans at Target and say.... " .....What the..."
Then they'll be pulled of the rack!!
