Are you Korean too? I have the hooded eye lid too. I have learned tricks from MAC to "create a crease" I remember my mom in my earlier days trying to use tape on my eyes. You are only 17 right? I'm already 37 It may be too late for me.

yes, i am korean lol and also have the hooded eyelid. my mom brought home that tape before but ever since i went hysterical because it poked my eyeball, i stopped trying to use it.

i heard it's very popular in the OC too, but my friend got it done in beverly hills. my parents say the korean doctors are so much better because they have so much experience; it's damn near mandatory in korea lol.

i don't think it's too late it's you're 37. my aunt just got it done and she's in her forties.

Well if it's any consolation, she sounds like a boring yuppie torphy-wife-in-training.

I must say..... your butt looks fantastic!!! I am not just saying that b/c you posted it. I wish I had more of a bubble butt. Mine is more wide than bubbly.... if you get what i mean. Bubbly butts are so attractive in a nice pair of jeans!! I am still ok w/ my butt though... its my stomach that i hate. God damn muffin top

I can agree with you on that. It's like sometimes I want to say that a pair of jeans doesn't look good on someone, but I don't because, I don't want to deal with the potential backlash from other people.
I also hate it when I see someone making a post and IMO what they have on is bad looking, but there will be a bunch of posts telling the person that it looks nice. And it makes me think, are we looking at the same person???
And as you've pointed out, I have seen very few threads with 'negative' comments, or at least people voicing their opinions about the jeans (or whatever) not looking good on the poster. But maybe people think that everyone looks good on here in everything they wear.
A reason why I don't really post on here asking people's opinions, is that I feel not everyone is going to be honest and say, 'they don't look good on you', or something similar to that. (Also I can tell when something doesn't look good on me).
Like one time I made a post about how jeans looked on me. I liked the jeans, just not how they fit on me. I had a few pages of replies, and only like 4 people said it didn't look good. I chose to listen to the people who I felt were being honest, and sold the jeans. Someone even said that the jeans looked like mom jeans on me, and I appreciated that more than the, 'oh those look really cute on you' replies. But that's just me.

it's all a matter of opinion and taste, this can vary greatly and doesn't mean people aren't being honest. take one pic and ask 10 people's thoughts and 5 might think the person is curvy and beautiful and the other 5 would say she is fat. men also tend to be less critical of women imo. this is all so subjective though. one thing i don't like is people who criticize and comment but have never posted a pic of themselves, ever...
as far as SF, yeah i love that forum but there are like 2 girls there. i just lurk over there and look at all of the great clothes, beautiful boys and read all of the interesting comments.

I am not korean, but I had a korean boyfriend that had the most beautiful eyes! His mother hated me though she loved my blonde hair/green eyes! Itwas horrible when we had to break up! His sister hated her eyelids then, I said why the hell would everyone want to look western? So she was mad at me too... It made me sad, because they were such a beautiful family.

I know. But sometimes, I don't feel as is everyone is being honest. I feel like sometimes people want the poster to feel better, so they tell them what they want to hear. (I don't know why I feel like that though)

Ummmm, as you all know from other threads of mine I enjoy posting my ass on the internet. I'm not looking for validation or fishing for compliments. If I have questions in regards to fit I'll ask the ladies straight out, other than that just enjoy the picture show . But personally at my age I could really give monkey's butt about what other people think. I have more important things to worry about. Meh this type of thread's been done over and over though it just reinforces and brings up the negative thoughts of the ladies & men that do have issues which is not very fun for them. However, not all of us on here are ashamed of our bodies there are plenty of people on here who are proud of their bodies. For example see the BUTT thread to find more ladies/men who rock their own bodies (including myself).

i dont think im fat i think im to skinny around my hips, i dont really have any hips, i would love some hips thats all cause it makes me look top heavy, i try an eat as much as i can but nothing works darn it. otherwise im very happy with my body, although some photos makes it look a bit funny, i am happy with what i have though an i think everyone else should be, we shouldnt compare ourselfs to anyone, we are all individual an we are not supposed to look like eachother thats why we have different shape, i tell my mum to be happy with what she has cause shes beautiful but she wont listen, she just hurts her body by not eating an stuff

There are some things I wish were different about by body (I think most people do) but when I get compliments from people at work or my friends about the way I look and dress, it puts it all into perspective and I think I could be sooooooooooo much worse off

When I post pictures I ask for honest opinions and I get honest opinions for the most part... I just bought some Sammys and posted a booty shot - most people said to keep them but others said other types would be more flattering to my figure. I so appreciate those comments. I have always been not so happy with my body - I'm 5'2", wear most jeans in 28, about 118 lbs. It's hard sometimes to see people who are 5'9" and above who wear the same size as I do say "excuse the muffin top"...

rolling eyes! I dont get people. My husband is chinese and I love the shape of his eyes. I am getting old and this world is crazy.

I think (in regards to muffin tops), that it has to do with the shape of your body. I've had girls that are a size 23/24 say they have muffin top. And I'm like, how do you have muffin top??? Even when I try, I can't get muffin top. But I guess they are bigger in the waist/hip area.

A little tiny muffin top is cute!!! It's just part of being a woman. I always have a little no matter how loose the waist because of my wider hips & it just where low rise jeans hit me (depends on the brand). It's not a bad thing--I think its more of a new "fad word" these days, eventually people will get tired of the concept and move on. I've seen pics of you in the butt thread IamRenee, your little body is very cute and curvey IMO ...and I'm not just saying that .

Not really funny to me cause I don't see how being a housewife is a bad thing. I hope she does More important than any other job I know of imo of course

I think with those who think that people are lying to posters by saying "those look fantastic" when you really think they dont doesnt necessarily mean they are lying.. They might seriously think that. I know I would vomit if I ever had to wear TR Cargo pants but other people just love em! Its different tastes, thats all

I dont think I can honestly say I've ever seen anyone on this site who looked bad.

I don't think the people are lying, I just don't think they're always being completely honest. Like I dn't think they're trying to be malicious, I just think sometimes that people say something looks excellent, because they may feel they need to make the poster feel better about themselves and the way they look.
Like, if someone is self concious (sp?) and they post pictures of themselves for validation that they look good, and someone make a post that the posters hips look big in those jeans (or whatever), that is going to make the poster feel not so good. Especially if their hips is their 'problem' area. Whereas if the person said they like the way the jeans fit, they'll be making the poster feel better. And they'll be somewhat honest, because they do like the fit of the jeans on the poster, but they ommit the fact that it makes the persons hips look big. Just my opinion.
ETA: *But it's like Twyla said, people have different opinions and tastes.

and i too, love to see some curves on everyone. i have them and always will. they don't bother me, just my quite large muffin top, which i have no one to blame but myself, and if i start doing something about it, i will be a happier camper

It's pretty obvious who on here fishes for compliments but I think people always give their honest opinion either way or they simply don't post.

I think everyone looks wonderful regardless of their size and it's a damn shame people even make those comments.

First off i want to say that i love NINAG! Sweetie your ass is fine and and pretty phat if i do say so myself!

I haven't ever posted a full body picture of myself on here. For some reason i just don't feel the need to. When it comes to people's opinions on my clothing i'll usually ask my mom and my girlfriend and my dad and see what they think. I know that they will be honest with me and would never let me walk out of the house looking bad.

I do have a bad case of body dysmorphic disorder though. At a size 26 i feel very large. I am a size 0-3 in regular clothing or a XS (XXS if i go to Old Navy) yet when i look in the mirror i see someone who needs to loose a ton of weight. It is a huge problem for me and i am seeking counselling for it because it isn't healthy and it could lead to some serious problems. I have considered some major plastic surgery as a posibility for the future but i do not know if i will ever go through with it.

Someone also made the comment that there are mostly women posting on this thread and i would liek to see some male opinions on hwo they feel about their bodies. Women aren't the only ones who have to deal with body image issues. Many men suffer from biggerexia or muscle dysmorphia. There is an antire book about it called the Adonis Complex. This is where men who are huge and muscular look in the mirror and see a tiny weakling so they start working out in excess and usually start with anabolic steroids.

We always talk about the "barbie complex" with women and how if Barbie was a real woman she wouldn't be able to stand. In regards to guys, if you look at GI Joe from the 70's he was a normal fit guy. Now GI Joe looks liek the incredible hulk. Even the Luke Skywalker action figures have changed to make Mark Hamil look like he was on roids.
