IMO Nova, I think it's a nice color combination, but I think you being a short-torso'd petite woman, makes it much harder to pull off a high-waisted ensemble than it would be for someone taller with a longer torso. It's the same as wearing high rise jeans and having a short torso. The high-waisted attire coupled with the strappy high heels give the appearance that you are 'all legs' which for a small woman has the opposite effect than it would for a woman 5'10" who is going to look leggy and lean.

definitely something to keep in mind
though it was just more a comfortable outfit and I wasn't going for a particular look, such as the 'all legs' appearance, just dressing for fun

Yeah it was weird, I really just bought them to goof around, the attention from women was a side bonus. I just thought it was intersting as a lot of people around here put a lot of thought into what they wear, and end up looking really nice. But the outfit that got me the most love was something I did to joke around more than anything . . . I guess Cutup has a good point, women assume you have to be either really funny or confident to get away with wearing something like that, so I guess that's why it worked out like it did.
