Thanks. Believe it or not, I used the 'black dog' setting on my camera, w/o flash.

black dog? i'm not sure what that is, but it looks like it worked for ya!

i find snapping pics close the camera creates problems too... i don't know why.

Oh my new camera has crazy settings, like portrait, underwater, snow, candlelight, soft, pet (black/white/gray dog/cat) and some others...just can't remember them all.
