I met my husband at a bar. We are going on our 2 year anniversary. I can't say that I was specifically looking for a husband when I went out that night, though.

yea i mean its not like something that never happens. i suppose it depends on the bar as well. if i remember correctly i think you said you hang out in indie rock and gay bars so those are a hell of a lot more civil than your average 'bro' bar.

If I didnt know any better, I think you guys are implying that Blacks arent tolerant towards gays/metros... I think that is a racist comment. Black people have to right to hate whoever they want (if they in fact do hate anyone) because they endured so many years of discrimination and racism under the white man. I think you guys should try to live one day as a black man and then talk about "bro" bars.

I think by "bro" bar, they're referring to the types of guys who pop their collars and wear Abercrombie and listen to Incubus and Dave Matthews band. Not blacks.

exactly.

or the ones who act like dumb pieces of shit and hate people who dont wear clothing that is 12 sizes too big for them.

"dude, look at that guys pants. he looks like a girl. faggggggggg! lets go back to anchor blue and buy some of those cargo pants... man, i cant get enough of those things! we're so masculine!"

well, i sort of made up that last part, but whatever...

I hate spinners on cars too. Actually, it annoys me when people put anything like that on their cars.

The best is when someone is driving around like say, an old toyota camery, but they've got like a wing and graphics and a body kit on it. You're not fooling anyone...

Exactly. At least a quarter of the people at my high school drove those. UGH.

No, no! There's nothing wrong with an 89 camry, it's when people try to trick out cars like that.

I love old reliable cars. I've been driving the same 1991 Buick Park Avenue since I was 15.

Exactly! How are you gonna trick out an 85 chevy aztec?!? HOW? And spinners and flame graphics just wont look right on your beige '91 Honda Civic. There's absolutely nothing wrong with older, reliable cars, but don't try to convince yourself you've got a hot rod for christ's sake.

I think the worst case of this was the amount of crap people put into the 94-97 honda civis. Those became the biggest joke after a while. Dude, getting rid of your exhaust pipe and making your car louder is not necessarily a good thing!..lol

While I would agree with the popularity of Civics, getting rid of your restrictive exhaust system if done right can also bring large improvements in performance. My car, definetely not a Civic, wakes up the neighbors but at least I have a reason.

But they are 4 cylinder civics with like 85 horsepower to begin with. Why even bother

If I had an 85 HP Civic, I would do it. Why not make my car faster if given the opportunity. I think I'd probably alter a ride-along lawnmower for my enjoyment, you'd probably judge me and I still wouldn't care.
