Long time 'guest' viewing this, so i thought i'd wade in...
I know i'll get vilified for this, but here's some Diesel Gloovy's... :/

Yesterday:
Triple 555 Soul canvas jacket
Jake's 'Lucky' tee
Bleach sweat band, doubled up with a plain black one
Diesel Gloovy 8GK size 28" waist 30" inseam
Jackass chucks

Today:
some thrift store leather bought from ebay a while back
one of my many Terratag tee's
the very same Bleach sweatband
Diesel Gloovy 61X size 30" waist 30" inseam
Jackass chucks

Gloovy is hard to pull off, but I think you wear it well. +1

Why vilified? You wear Gloovy quite well, and they are certainly the least vilify-able part of either outfit. +1 for a non-fail first post, even though your Chucks make me want to vomit

Cheers for the feedback on the jeans!
I think i was reading a while back when someone was wearing some gloovy's, and he got quite a few disparaging remarks about them. So i just took it that they weren't a favourable cut from Diesel, even though i like them. Providing i could find some in the United Kingdom, without resorting to ebay.
Yeah, about the chucks haha... it was something casual i just grabbed in a rush, since i needed to meet a friend, sharpish!
I don't really wear shoes unless it's part of evening attire (for going out) or for an occasion.
What kind of casual footwear would you suggest?
Or is it pretty much skinny jeans = smart/ formal shoes?
As i admit, shoes do look a whole lot better.

Here people get trashed more for wearing cuts that dont fit them well. I see people wear cuts that arent as popular here, but if they fit well, they get plussed.

Or they get trashed for trying to shoehorn their asses into a pair of Thanaz that are 2 sizes 2 small for their body types, solely because they were "in" at the moment

The Gloovy cut fits you very well, and chucks are both loved and hated here. I find them great based on the fact that where else are you going to find a pair of shoes in so many different patterns and colors for so cheap? Who gives a damn if they fall apart after a year, when you can buy another pair for like $40. They are not very high end, but I think there will always be a market for them

Common projects makes some very good understated shoes. The elegance is in the details and the construction. Treetorn also has some nice designs for a very reasonable price. And when all else fails and you want to go a little more high end casual, nothing beats a pair of well made loafers

I think the guy who wore Gloovy you might be talking about is jinnn, and I don't think the objection was the Gloovy itself, it was that his body type wasn't thought to be suited to that cut.
Gloovys can certainly work if you got the right body for it. Looks good jimtendo (at least from the front)

ross, we know you don't like Chucks... you would save yourself a considerable amount of brain activity if you didn't type that each time you saw them

I have had Chucks for more than a year that haven't fallen apart... I don't know what you guys are doing; kicking rocks?

There are much better alternatives like tretorn that I found through this forum and am thankful to have done so.

to each his own ... Personally I don't like chucks cos they are chunky and fitted jeans lk better with slimmer shoes and sneakers ( check asos.com for slim shoes and sneakers) but just because I prefer slimmer shoes doest mean that my opinion is supreme ... Wear what u like ...
However u look pretty decent with the chucks cos ur feet are small
