eBay seller questions

Hi everyone,

I am doing my absolute best to be sure that the items I offer at my eBay store are 100% authentic, whether they are Juicy Couture or something else. I'm researching Juicy Couture Beach items, which is how I came upon this site.

I travel a lot, and sometimes pick up items at nicer thrift stores, department store clearance sales, and the like. I recently picked up two Juicy Couture Beach skirt coverups, with tags. I want to make sure they're authentic before listing them for sale, but I'm unable to find definitive answers.

I have contacted a sales specialist at JuicyCouture.com (from Nordstroms) who told me they could only verify authenticity for Juicy Couture purchased at Nordstroms, which was rather frustrating, but I understand the point. The Juicy website also only features the current season's items as well as sale items from the previous season.

The Juicy Couture Beach tags are both green, and the size on both are a Large. The hangtags have Choose Juicy Love P&G on one side, and Choose Juicy Couture (the JC is written in a banner) featuring a coat of arms. The retail tag states Choose Juicy Beach on one side, Juicy Couture Tile Blue Skirt Cover Up and a barcode with the size and MSRP, lot number, and style number on the other. Both tags are metallic gold.

Due to the fact that the one tag states "Love P&G" I'm thinking these are definitely older stock.

Can anyone please help me out in authenticating these? I can post pictures once I've taken them.

Another seller of fake Juicy

I just returned for a full refund a fake Juicy velour suit from couturestylez4u on eBay. If you look at the pics from her previous auctions, they're definitely fake tags. Her latest batch are pretty good fakes, but not perfect. I have pics if anyone wants them.

I just bought a FAKE velour cargo tracksuit from user: nwmcorp on eBay.
All his items are posted as "100% Authentic" but they are not! It kills me 'cause his feedback is extremely high, 99.2%! His fakes are REALLY good though. Had I not already bought Juicy Couture from the department stores, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell if they were fake or not! The tags look decent, the new tags are in the pink, but the YKK zippers are not the same! They do say YKK but don't have the same detailing. Nor is the velour of the same quality!
If anyone is interested, I don't mind posting up pictures comparing the "new" fakes to actual new Juicy Couture velour tracksuits.

PS, has anyone bought off of this user?

Thank you, this was really helpful. I received a top from a friend as a gift and was going to resell it but of course, wanted to authenticate first since I didn't purchase it myself.

There were a few things that I had compared to the Juicy items I bought that seemed off the stitching on the label thing was the dead giveaway- that I had not noticed until I read your post. All of my Juicy items have the label stiched on like you mentioned and the top from the friend has the same color stitching as the label.

I know when my friend bought the tank tops, she said she got them on sale and bought two. I had a feeling she got them at Marshall's or a discount store. The quality doesn't seem bad but the label doesn't have the "shimmer" that my other juicy items have- and the stitched crown seems a lot different from my pieces. Also, the care label on the inside seam says MADEIN PERU (the spacing is almost exactly like that) at the bottom. Probably the biggest giveaway.

Since I only own pants and hoodies, I didn't have a similar top to compare to. If there are ever exceptions that any of you know of, please let me know...I have pics! Thanks!

Hi!

I've recently purchased a juicy hoodie in ebay (seller: paisleypalmetto) but the size tag is a S and pink colour, not orange.. Also have the old zipper.

Now,I don't know if it's fake or not...I think not because the velour feels soft like other real juicy items I have but...

what do you think? do you know this ebay seller?

They sell authentic Juicy.

If it was not made in the US, then it will have a different looking tag, especially if it is an older style. Pics would be great!

Ebay Seller - Selling Fake Juicy

I found this ebay sellereBay My World - sunshine0733, selling juicy suits. Being stupid I purchased one because of the cheap price, BUT LO and behold it's a fake! Can anyone tell me if they are truly fake, I'm 100% sure it is. Because the zippers look nothing like the ones posted on here, the color of the suit is different in person then the website and it came in a crappy looking dust bag. I've included pictures of my suit to have you give me a better judgement.

The dust bag it came in.

Pant logo

it reads 45C

Back of the jacket

Arm

Label it came with

This is the pants tag.

Wondering the same thing!

Winsterl, I just bought and received a tracksuit off of Ebay and I am also doubtful of its authenticity. I bought one with a different color/decoration, but the zipper is exactly the same and so is the long white tag on the pants. I also got a tacky plastic dustbag and ribbons on the tags. If yours is fake, I'm sure mine is too Have you come to a decision on whether or not it is fake?

Edit: I just realized that even though I can't find my digital camera, I can post a link to the Ebay auction: Juicy Couture Fleece Skull Tracksuit in Black - eBay (item 220532613488 end time Jan-04-10 11:47:18 PST)

catena,

I have decided upon further inspection that my suit is fake. I have purchased a Juicy Couture suit before at the mall and the tags and zippers look completely different. I'm so upset with the fact that people are getting away with selling fake merchandise on Ebay. Needless to say, I took major actions against the Ebay seller (He was also sending me threatening messages) and they have completely shut his list down. I also contacted the authorities in his state and given them the address he ships the merchandise out from. I'm so annoyed that people can get away with it.

I was going to return it for a full refund, but I thought he could easily say he never got my package, even with a tracking number and he would never give me my money back.

I was told NEVER to purchase any Juicy items on Ebay unless the seller has posted pictures of the tags and zippers, it sounds a little extreme, but you have to get your moneys worth right?

This guy conned so many people and they all gave him positive feed back too! I guess not everyone can tell what is real or fake.

I'm sorry that you got dupped as well. Did the seller insist you pay automatically after you purchased the suit? Because mine did. That struck a cord with me, but I ignored it and I shouldn't have.

Fakes suck :(

Thanks for posting your conclusion. I decided mine was fake too, and sent the seller a message stating this and requesting a return. The seller was very courteous and told me my money would be refunded upon receipt of the item. This tells me that they knew it was a fake all along, but I'm just glad there won't be any trouble. I paid immediately through PayPal (which has a guarantee) so I am comfortable sending the item back, although I will have to remember to watch my bank account for the refund.

This certainly makes me think twice about buying designer items online. In the future I am planning to do a lot more research on designer items before I buy them.
