Good Finds on YOOX - Page 66

As sure as one can be from yoox pics. They are the same company who takes diesels pics after all! I tried the 884F on in new York and there were no rips and the streaks aren't very noticeable. they are very stretchy though.

Yup, that looks like them! So have you seen these in person? Ssense says they're black, Yoox says they're blue and I can't really tell.

They're more black IMO. Black with blue dye or blue jeans rubbed with black dye. Hard to describe. They're from 'the cool of coal' line

So are they sort of like the old, old 740 wash, which was always described as "blue black"?

Oh, I'd already ordered them; just trying to figure out whether I had set myself up for failure :p.

Free shipping on Fall/Winter collection.  Works in the United States for sure.

Too bad they don't have free shipping for EU.

Since everyone was so helpful the last time, how about this pair of Koolter:

http://www.yoox.com/item.asp/dept/men/tskay/3FD17CD7/cod10/42265952GX/sts/sr_men80

The fit looks different, with skinnier legs and a lower rise (I didn't notice any other Koolter jeans on Yoox producing the "moose knuckle" on the model, not that I was looking too intently :p...) but perhaps it's just the size they had to use for the photo. Would definitely want to confirm that it's actually Koolter before ordering (since there's at least one pair that says they're Koolter that are actually something else, with trouser pockets).

Looks like a nice, old-school Diesel wash, but just want to find at least one or two other pics to confirm.

Also curious if anyone can identify this pair:

So they arrived yesterday and they are quite cool. The underlying denim appears to be a super dark inky blue and then there is a black dye applied unevenly over the jeans which give them a dirty black and blue look. Can't dress them up as much as my 880G, which is solid blue, but still a good going out jean.

Yoox having a big sale again, about 70-110$ on 100+ diesel jeans.

So are these the Viker 73N?

http://yoox.com/us/42254642IS/item?dept=men#sts=sr_men80&cod10=42254642IS&sizeId=

The wash looks very similar, but when I look at another site with that model/wash they have different leather patches on the back of the waistband. Do they sometimes do different patches for different seasons/markets, or is this a different wash?

Also, a bit OT, but are the Viker and Koolter virtually identical in terms of fit from the knee up?

That's a different wash.

Viker 73n has bright yellow stitching, plus the fading is different. The deep indigo is similar, though.

Thanks. Regarding my fit question, other than being a true straight leg, and thus wider below the knee, is the fit very close to the Koolter?

koolter is close to viker. viker is my fav cut but i've never snatched up a pair of koolters. there is something offputting about the cut for me. i think it's the small leg opening but the actual leg doesnt feel tapered?

To me it "feels" like a straight leg because it follows the shape of my leg (my thighs are substantially larger than my calves) and fits the same the entire way down. That is to say, my leg is somewhat tapered in shape, so a somewhat tapered jean looks "straight". A true straight leg, on the other hand, can sometimes look almost bootcut on me if the thighs are snug since they'll appear very fitted on top but loose below the knee.

It fits much like another favorite brand/cut of mine, the J. Brand Kane or even the APC New Standard or Rag & Bone RB-15x (albeit with a lower rise than either of the latter).
