Official Authenticity Superthread - Page 323

^ for sure faked Zathan and second point - wash 8IW is totally different.

Regarding your question about Diesel authenticity check - green/white/red "flag" stripes has only pairs made in Italy (I have some jeans from Maroco and they are flawless, you can't find it if you don't see the flag stripes). But every pair should have the inner tag with Indian head with the microstitching, where you can see D I E S E L

And regarding the pairs from ebay, it's better to post the picture here to authent. check before you bid or buy (sometimes you can missed weird -> fake signs on stuff).

I purchased Timmen 87j from ebay. it's new one.
First picture is I took them from my old jean which is I believe it's authentic. Second a picture is I took them from the jean I've received from ebay seller. All are taken from same camera and place. As you can see from the pictures, I couldn't find microstitching.
I complained to ebay seller and he recommand me to ask HF. And he said it is 100% authentic. Please let me know your opinion.

micro-stitching perpectly don't have.
i sended more correct pictures to ebay seller.
but, He does not still do recognition.

how shall i do?
You are thankful as reading all the way.

^I don't own any Timmen. The pics are crappy, so it's hard to tell.

From what I can see the jeans look legit to me. Microstitching looks quite good but it's not focussed enough to be sure for 100 %. italian stitching looks good from behind.
The washing 87J (I still have my Slammer 87J which will hopefully sell great on ebay) looks legit and so do the back pockets with the destroyed parts.

All in all for me it's a vote for auth.

I P'mmed with this guy (songduhwan)
and he says microstitching has not the silver line at all
(first microstitching pic is from another pair he own, and second is from the timmen he received)

by the way, ebay seller is authenticdenim, who is legit

the microstitching stripe absence and weird coin strip (the stitching touching the "D" in Diesel Industry strip) is strange... IMO

Might be a factory second. I once had an authentic Diesel, were the strip on the coin pocket was slightly misplaced. It had the DRR stamp, btw.

Concerning the micro-stitching: It is completely absent, but again I have an authentic pair, were something similar must have been happening. The microstitching somehow "slipped" out of the tag, leaving the spot were it used to be empty. Looks the same as on those pics.

I've got a pair of Zathan 772's with the microstitchng slipping out; it's partially in there, but most of it looks like it's pulling out of the tag. It's still all one complete strip, however...

Lovewins,

These are authentic, but washed out, Viker 8EB jeans. Rather hard to find, but it obviously does not age nicely. The 8EB wash is supposed to be a nice coated solid black and this is a perfect example of what happens to it over time.

I agree, Cez is wrong those are real.
Problem is that for Vikers those pockets look mighty close together, so if they are real, they might be altered.
Ryan, I dont think that you should do authentication on Diesel jeans. After those horribly fake ones you posted and asked (after already having bought them) if they are authentic.

Cez and Bio are right, fake Viker. They dont even look anything close to Viker regarding the cut, as Bio already pointed out. Not to mention the wash.
