Truthfully, and other than the real pair looking a bit darker than the fake ones, I don't see a difference. Just noticed the tag, tho' (on the fake ones), and it does say L33.

I think you're used to identifying the fake from the real, so the fakes pop out to you quicker than they would someone like me who has never purchased a pair before, or hung around this site long enough to know.

On a similar note, do you know anything about 7FAM jeans? If so, any idea whether these are real or not:

Thanks for the help!

Thanks, I emailed the seller asking about the authenticity and asked about where the jeans were obtained, and haven't gotten a reply which is kinda fishy. its been about 3 days as well. Can anyone else verify that these Diesels are authentic?

Noticing the wash color is lighter than it should be is a good way to start being skeptical of fake jeans, so your on the right track. Other things you'll probably notice is the diesel logo on the coin pocket looks very out of place and a little squished.

There are other tell tale signs, the back pockets look quite a bit different. Fakes never seem to get the distressing right. On the fakes, they have been distressed in thin straight lines, and on the real jeans they look a lot more natural.

One of the best ways to authenticate diesel is on the sizing tag with the indian head. If your really unsure if they are real, you should ask for pictures of the sizing tag and look for diesel written in tiny letters on a little silver strip. Also, fakes also seem to always squish the indian head so it looks weird.

If you are looking at other diesel jeans on ebay, try to find pictures of the specific cut and wash from a seller you know sells authentic diesel listed in this forum or from the diesel website and compare them to what you're bidding on.

Thanks a lot, Kile! Yea', I read about that stitching below the "Indian Head" - will give that a go when the jeans get here. And I'm also starting to see the difference in the distressing - as you said, much more natural on the one that Tee posted vs the one I....won. Oh well...

Anyway, really appreciate the help, guys. At least now I know a few good signs to look for when buying jeans online.

i know it says that they were only worn once, but those look pretty washed out to me. and i don't think you would get nearly that much hem damage in just one wear. i'd guess they were worn 10 or so times and washed 4 times or so as well.

jskidder do those 8EV look real to you too?

I put my authenticity check in the wrong place. SORRY about that.

Can anyone help with these? There is no style name on the tag inside. If you know what they are called (if real) please enlighten me.

THANK YOU!

OK Here's the pair in Question...ZAF Special?
There are actually two pair up right now that look like this. The cut seems way off to me. What's the verdict?
^ Very, very fake Zaf Special 89Xs. I'd bet my house on it.
A good thing to keep in mind when checking for authenticity is the distressing. Look at the perfect backwards L-shaped markings on the back pocket. Disgusting.
