Do you guys think these are authentic? Are they worth the 60 euro price tag?

Thavar 886b 28/32

Take a look on this pair. Its look like the fake diesel from the french seller  from ebay.

i think you may be right about it being fake....though I would say it is close to 886b...this is a tough one to call without the microstamp photo. photos are fuzzy..prob on purpose to confuse people. Though a lot of details are on point, there are one or two things that are not right. This certainly could be an irregular pair, but I would not take a chance on it.---rivet is missing from outseam area of coin pocket. distressing is done in a manner different than most other 886b i have seen. color is slightly off but I do remember seeing some authentic darker grey 886b before. Leather back waist patches were sometimes the same color and other times mismatched colors. If it turns out to be fake, it is actually a very good one (as far as a fake could be good)--but on the off chance it could be an IRR pair, id say ask for the microstamp photo to see if it is foil or an actual stamp---looks like it could be this pair here actually http://www.laboiteatendances.com/art-jean-diesel-thavar-886b-4639.htm

Jeanetic, they are 100% fake. Even thavar cut is inaccurate. I actually have 886b and those jeans in pics slomi posted scream fake.

yes I agreed with you. and I also was 886b owner...you missed my point. I said they are probably the most "accurate" a fake as I have ever seen for Diesel.  I even posted a link to the website where I bet the fakes came from.

My point was this: with those fuzzy and dark photos, it is best to get a clearer pic plus microstamp photo from a seller before taking a chance on something like that. I never disputed they were not real. I just remarked on how close they got to the real thing.

also, what are you pointing to in that picture on top? Are you trying to point something out in the photo?

Oh ok.
Yeah there is that diagonal seem that is present in all thavar jeans and I think it's missing in the pic posted by Shalomi.

Earlier I stated I was not disputing your claim they were not real. But I just looked at the ebay listing photos and changed my mind.

And I thought that stitching is what you were pointing to. But that diagnonal hem IS present on the pair posted by shalomi. I mean quite literally the only detail differences are the missing rivet on coin pocket plus color of denim which could be from lighting and the distressing (which is done by hand anyways) is not done in then same manner as other 886b i have seen. This pair could very well could turn out to be IRR. Believe me, I have seen 886b in darker grey than yours or mine. This pair could turn out to be 100% legit. You may not think so but I know so. You say they did not get the cut right, that is absurd. The cut looks fine.

They have these "fake" markets in China where you can buy knock-offs (high quality knockoffs) of designer goods. One in particular is a whole mall filled with these high quality knock offs. The materials used are good, the details are on point, etc. This could very well come from a place like that, but I doubt it. Because I just looked through the actual ebay listing for this item. The more I looked at the pics, the more I am becoming convinced this pair may be real. It requires a microstamp photo for verification. The photos are still fuzzy in the ebay listing but with the zoom there is enough there to make a determination of probably real. --get the seller to give us microstamp for verification and NEVER buy jeans from a seller who is using fuzzy photos,(could mean they are trying to hide something).

So I wish Id have looked at the ebay listing pics before commenting. Otherwise Id have given the determination the item is probably real in the first place. @Shlomi they are more than likely real, but Irregular. Irregular pairs are authentic, but have some reason they have been selected to not be sold at retail. There are many variations to IRR pairs: (meaning something happened to them in production such as missing rivets, mis-stitched somewhere, wrongly labeled Darron on a Viker cut, wrong size labeled, etc). But none of that means they are not real. Also, for this pair in question, I require the microstamp photo from the seller before making the official determination on them. It would also be good for the seller to provide you with actual clear photos so you can determine if any other visible defects could be present.
