Okay opinions on destroyed or distressed jeans...are they going to still be in style for the fall?
I think high waisted jeans are making a come back this fall. I think destroyed is a little on its way out.Clean jeans are in
post #3 of 30
I do think overly destroyed washes are on the way out.

I say distressed is still in, but I go with vince on the destroyed.
As for high waisted jeans, I guess I will be out of style, cuz you won't catch my AZZ in them again.LOL

i was never into the destroyed jeans of TR, i think crazy pockets/excessive embrodiery (sp?) and even crystals are on their way out (even though i still love crystals!) i have seen a lot of ppl tend towards cleaner washes and cuts.

destroyed are def on their way out IMO

Destroyed jeans were in style about two years ago....a little distressing is still o.k. in my book!

I hope high waisted isn't going to be the new trend because I think most of the time they look ridiculous. I know they look that way on me.

^ i hate high waisted too. makes me look funny. i like lowrise the best

I saw a lot of people in destroyed jeans at the Cardinals' game last night so I will say it is definetly out.

I consider "destroyed" to be the ones with holes all the way down the leg. I guess the ones with a little hole here and there aren't that destroyed as far as I am concerned. I like the look of those however I find that I like the clean look now even more.

The destroyed is heading out quickly as well as bold pockets, but I am sure not everyone will agree with me. Clean dark looks are going to be in for fall, and a lot of straight legs too. When August/September comes, just lets bring this one back up to recheck my predictions..but I know I am right anyway on this one
BTW, I still wear my destroyed, and lightly destroyed, but they are over IMO!

^^agreed, and i am not for the small holes here and there, they just look tacky and as though they are flaws rather than intentional holes....

You hit the nail on the head with this one. Dark, clean washes and staight/skinny legs. Probably going to see a lot more Billy's and less Joey's in the fall, as well as more Johnny's and less Bobby's.

Bizzy is going to LOVE fall and all the straight/skinny legs...Billy's, Johnny's, Julie's, Stella's...it's going to be hard to keep all the names straight in a few more seasons.

I'm gonna start saving up for all those new jeans now!!!

My Julies will arrive tomorrow!!!! Dark Pony Express (the only wash I've seen so far). My first TR jeans with a name not ending in "Y".

What are the Stellas? Pretty name.

It's funny, huh, how the fall outlook seems like a TOTAL BACKLASH against the Destroyed Joey.

yeah, ditto on that one! haha :P

I think the clean look is in as well. And skinny jeans!
Also when you think about it, clean jeans are more versatile than destroyed ones because you can dress them up for a night out or dress them down for a casual look. Destroyed jeans are somewhat limited in versatility.

I'm still in college, so my slightly destroyed Bobby's will still be chic along with my nasty hair, no make up, and t shirt wearing self.

I guess it depends where you live, cuz some places are more laid back then others anyway, so I have both just in case!

I'm still going to wear mine!! I hate the thought off destroyed jeans going out of style. I hate plain washes. I have a pair of Joey dark pony express, and I think the other is medium pony, and both still have the tags on them... I can't bring myself to wear them.
Straight legs... I could only hope not. More power to those who look good in them. But not me.

I really want Sammy Big T Easy Rider. I think they would work for spring or winter. The pictures of them on revolve look like they aren't dark or light but I have seen them in person. I like the skinny jeans but I don't know if I want to spend $170 plus for them. Now if I could afford to I would. Do you think sammy's will be in for fall?

I don't care what is in or out I love my destroyed TR jeans and I will rock them to the end... My model is wear what you like make your own style

High waisted was supposed to be in for the last 4 seasons. It never made it. I don't think it ever will. It makes the average ass appear way too long and flat.

And yes dark clean will be in for fall. Fall/winter = dark washes, spring/summer = light washes. Not that you must follow that rule, but that's how the seasons always work.

And the original question, destroyed is "out". But if they look good on you, wear them!

i still love mine and like em and females as well! lol

eck, hell no. Highwaisted. ugly. Low-rise is hot, of course i am a guy and thinking as us guys do, but still, high-wasited jeans just look bad. Period.
