I don't understand how the department stores sell the fakes. I mean, geesh I would think if you bought say....from Nordies you would not have to worry??!!

What I don't understand, is why people would pay $50 for fakes!

Most of us here have gotten many pairs for less than that & they're real!

I also think that people who buy fakes think that they're fooling everyone, but as we all know, that's not the case at all. You can spot that crap from a mile away!

Yeah I told the girls that $50 bucks was crazy for something fake and someone said, "oh he got here late so I think we can get it for less"
They said they couldn't tell and others wouldn't either but when I told them that I could, they looked at me funny.

you know what annoys me the most about fake jeans is that people who wear them might get praise that they are wearing 'designer denim' from people who don't know they are fake! Then there's the rest of us who actually love designer denim enough to know the difference between fakes and real ones...

That's why I think some people don't care and knowingly wear fake jeans. It's all for the look and the impression, not the actual quality.

Yeah, she is a pseudo-snob, she tries real hard to be one but hasn't quite gotten the money to finance it, you know?
I hate fakers.
I know what you mean about feeling like a snob. When I say, "I think those are fake" I get the "what makes you an expert?" or a snotty "You would know"-I HATE that! Rock your fakes, I don't care.

i know... my friend bought a pair of flynts for 50 on ebay and i told her it was fake.... she was like "oh well it was only 50 and its still fits".... i was like argh..... 50 buck is A LOT for fakes... when they're worth $-50

hehe...kind of OT, but there was this girl at my old school that I didn't really like much but was friendly with (because rudeness bothers me). I saw her today, and she was acting like little-miss-fake and the first thing I noticed was...FAKE GOLD CNYS! I almost died laughing. She tries so hard to be known as the rich girl, and she was wearing fakes. That's so horrible...I know...

it is pretty appaling how nobody seems to care that they are wearing fakes even if they do have the money to finance them b/c they think they look "exactly the same." i hate it when people act like YOU'RE the snob when you tell them you won't carry a fake handbag/wear fake jeans. they play it off like jeans are jeans, who cares? and "not everybody has tons of money to spend on jeans., but if they dont care about impressing people then why arent they spending that $50 on a pair of Gap jeans?

I was at a store the other day and they were selling FAKE studded MNE A's for $150. And I told the salesgirl that it was fake (so obvious, the numbers on the yellow tag were stitched on, sticker was all wrong, gross wash, horrible color) and she was like, "Well we went to a training day so we could tell apart fake jeans from real ones... They said the company changes around stuff all the time so their jeans can't be copied."

I felt like a total snob (even though I was SUPER nice and apologetic about it) and she took it well, the jeans were removed from the shelf and she said she'd check with her manager later.

After being here I think it's funny how we get to be so good at telling apart reals from fake, and also get really annoyed at the people who trot around with fakes (both selling /wearing knowingly and also the poor people who wear fakes and don't know it). I know a girl with fake gold crystal NYDs and I wish I could tell her but I don't know how to even approach the subject...


Sorry for the derail OP... You did the right thing, and everyone else was stupid for not listening. At least you have the guts to say something!

Oh, and H3's are not that expensive. H3's base at $29,500...

Dont feel bad, you did the correct and they are going to see the different when they wash and wear them. The fabric is not the same and smell so bad WACALA. I bought fake jeans in the past and look like I bought them in a flea market, the quality is terrible.
