Suggestions for Wide-Leg Men's Jeans

hi everyone,

i was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for brands and labels that make wide-leg jeans for men. my boyfriend is always on the look out and can never find them as readily as i, a girl, can. he found a pair of g-stars once a while back, a pair of french connection, but that's it. any ideas? it would really help out if anyone knew of anything.

thanks!

thanks so much for you reply. he's tall (6'2") and a 38 waist. not chubby or wide. when he wears straight legged or bootcut pants it creates a carrot shape from the waist down, so the pant looks tapered and awkward. basically he needs a jean that is the same width throughout the entire leg and doesn't taper in at the ankle (like most jeans do). almost like a male version of a women's Seven Dojo cut (minus the feminine trouser seam on the bottom). i hope what i am saying makes sense. and thank you again for your reply.

He and I have the same build. I wear a 36 or a 38, depending on the cut. I would avoid looking for 'wide-leg' per se because you'll end up with people thinking you want raver jeans like these:

I actually have some nice straight leg diesels that he might be intererested in. Generally speaking tho, he should look for jeans which are listed as 'straight-leg' or 'boot-cut.' As a big guy, flare or bootcut jeans will make him look more even-shaped. Check out diesel's zathan, and anything by true religion. Also check out seven's 'relaxed' cut for guys.

Contact me offline if you're interested in any of my diesels. I have some really nice ones which are basically new in sizes 38x32 and 38x34...

you could also go on diesel's website and check out the models that aren't listed in the 'regular slim' categories. if he's not a designer whore, you could try gap jeans for him. they are baggy as all hell and have some OK washes. but i'd stick with diesel or seven (also baggy as hell).
