Lacoste retail stores sell fakes?

After reading all the posts about authetic vs fake lacoste polos in here..
i was wondering if it's ever possible authorized lacoste boutiques can sell fake stuff??
i recently bought a lacoste pique polo at one of the lacoste stores (the store is listed in the lacoste website as well), and after reading the posts in here i found my polo tag says:
"designed in france
made in rumania"
and that tag is found near the bottom of the polo by the materials tag instead of by the collar with the lacoste tag..

yet everything else looks real when i compared it with JustChar's post

I think from the posts 'bout lacoste that I read on here, Romania has a factory that manufactures Lacoste. As well, most of the polos that I bought at a Lacoste warehouse sale have that tag at the side instead of at the top.

Lacoste is manufactured in different countries all around the world. I'm sure the Lacoste Boutique sells authentic merchandise. My "fake" lacoste was made in India though and printed Made in Peru...
