I have a western civ teacher who is gay and i never would have suspected if he wouldn't have told the class. He dresses like a typical straight male and doesn't have the stereotypical gay voice or manneurisms. I think we expect gay men to act feminine and lesbians to act masculine, but that is far from the truth in many cases.

Uhh! I have threatened to pluck my husband's brows while he is sleeping- he's got some wild ones that grow where they shouldn't! Groomed, not metro-groomed brows on a guy is nice.

I have to agree on that one. Most of the lesbians i know actually do fit into some sort of stereotype (hippie/tomboy/hardcore looks like a boy/punk/goth/whatever). I think a lot of it has to do with trying to be noticed by other gays. The most frustrating thing for a lot of gay people i seeing someoen at the gay bar and not knowing if they are gay or stright, epsecially if you find them cute :P. I think i am the most frustrating of all to a lot of people because i apparently exude heterosexuality, when im really not. I guess people always assume that gay girls can't like fashion, makeup, and pink(the color not the person) as much as i do.

A guy I'd suspected to be for years came out a while ago (didn't know him very well at all though). I have pretty good gaydar. Haha.

What sets off my gaydar the most... Body language (femenine, or else they're trying to act very straight), voice (I know some lisp-y people, but that's not a sure thing), speech pattern (feminine in any gay guy I know, not specifically tone, just how they talk).

If all that fails... Mascara and obnoxious club dancing will do it.
