Watch on for fake kids Lacoste on ebay. One way to tell without having to do too much research is if they offer an odd numbered size. Lacoste kids come in 2,4,6,8,etc. I have seen sellers selling 3's and 5's. FAKE!!!!! FYI, authentic kids Lacoste run very small. My 2 year old needed a size 4 and I only buy them from Nordstrom or Neimans.

Just to let you know, my shirt doesn't have the extra tag underneath the "LACOSTE" one, the one that says "Designed in France" etc.
But it is authentic, because I purchased it from a Lacoste boutique!

that is not necessarily true, cuz fake lacoste are pretty easy to be detected in person. cuz one obvious difference is the placement of the crocodile. second, when you look at the collar, you can see that the fake collar is so much thinner

well i dono about you, but i wouldn't want to have anything to do with fake stuff, cuz it's embarrassing being caught waering a fake lacoste. i rather buy and wear non-brand clothes than buying fake replica of name brand clothes

Don't rely just on croc placement when authenticating Lacoste. Eventually, counterfitters will begin placing the croc in the right spot.

wow, it's been a while since anyone has posted in this thread, so hopefully someone can help me? =)

i got this lacoste polo... and hence, the million dollar question: is this authentic?

...not all of them do. The shirts I bought from Lacoste while I was in Paris that don't have the tag underneath, but all of the ones that I've bought here in the US have that extra tag.

Bump! Hey guys, wondering if you could help me out. While on business in India my uncle bought me a shirt at a Lacoste store there. He, along with his brother-in-law who is pretty fashion-savvy, insist that it is real, and since it's from a Lacoste store I'm inclined to believe them. However, the tag and alligator look very different from shirts I've bought here at places like nordstrom. Does anyone know if they just have different factory/store standards in India, or something like that? I've posted some pics (sorry they're backwards, I took them on my iSight). Thanks!

OT:

I was at a friends house and there was a guy there with a fake Lacoste on. It had the gator (too low on the polo) but the left sleeve had IZOD embridered on it in white (the polo was white too)

I walked up in my REAL Lacoste and wass like OMG I LOVE YOUR POLO and he says: "Yeah, I bought like 10 of them at Nordstrom the other day"

FU&^%* Idiot.

I laughed all night long.
