I sold a pair of Lake Como flares on ebay. Actually I had them for sale in the HM but this size didnt sell so ebay'ed them. Anyway, the buyer is questioning authenticity. I thought I would post the pics here and then give her the link so she can see all of your opinions. Do you think this is a good idea?
I think that sounds good
Yup, hand her over to me

Here they are - i believe shes questioning the authenticity because the white label may be missing inside the waistband?
I dont think I have a tag pic either but I guess she can post one if necessary

I can tell by looking at them without seeing tag they are real

Those are 100% real.

They're real. THat style isn't faked anyway

Definitely real, as everyone else said. If she has anymore doubts, remind her that our Seven for All Mankind board moderator, Pam (Idalis), can verify whether certain pairs are authentic or counterfeit, and write letters of authenticity, per eBay/PayPal.

thank you for the quick reply. I will still take this to a department store...like I was saying, there is no serial number and all my sevens that I had purchased from aritzia has the serial on back of the last tag..I work there so I will get back to you asap..thanks for understanding. I am not trying to give you trouble..
i originally thought she was talking about the white label, but no...

I am on Long Island - not close really - about an hours drive. Do you mean to get them authenticated there? I know for a fact that they are real. I have 2 other pairs of these jeans here and I just looked and the serial number is on the back of the small tag on both of them. I just sent her another e-mail telling her where to look for it.
Its just so frustrating - she got authentic jeans and can't tell the difference. She shouldnt be buying on ebay. She should just go pay full price at Nordstrom..

I don't doubt the authenticity. I was thinking to prove to her from 7FAM. Probably not worth it once you get them back.
Maybe you can email them. I did a couple of times. Sometimes they respond immediately, others it takes a few days or week.

what a pain in the ass...
I wonder if she tries this with everyone??
sometimes ebay is just full of headaches

Sorry to hear about the terrible situation with your buyer. She probably owns some fake pairs of 7FAMK and she thinks that those are the real ones and not the ones she bought from you.

She also indicated that she'll take it to a department store to verify its authenticity - however, there are usually no real experts working there. Most of the SAs there have no clue. So, they might end up misleading her further.

Oh well...I hope this gets resolved soon. If she's so worried about authenticity in the first place, she should just buy directly from a department store (where she could end up getting fakes anyway because of the Switcheroo thing).

I think the problem here is she works at a store so she probably thinks her coworkers are qualified. Maybe they should hang here for a little while and become better informed. (I hope this doesn't sound mean. I don't mean it that way at all.)

Yeah, thats definitely an issue. I sent her another e-mail directing her to where she can find the serial number - because I cant believe it isnt there....

Now, I just got an e-mail from another buyer who thinks I sold her fakes because they have the white tag instead of the fabric tag!

Jeez! When it rains, it pours. Definitely send the second buyer here so she can find out that authentics have BOTH white tags and yellow tags. Also, what did the 1st buyer say when you directed her here? I'm sure you did already, but ask her to please take pictures and post them HERE so people, especially Pam, can verify authenticity.
I can also vouch that they're REAL REAL REAL...I bought a pair from you once.
thoes are freakin real......now i want a pair in 25 or 26? hhhhmmmmmm (dreaming)
i'm so sorry to hear this trouble since you Are selling the real deal, how frustrating. i feel for you & by all means beg her to read threads here!!

she just got back to me about the serial numbers. i told her where to find it and here is her reply:

Quote:
yes I have, there should be 3 tags and it should be on the last tag on the back... I took this in to my aritzia store and had my senior staff look at it just to double check..They told me it was fake..enough said..I did look at your feedback and its great..but I don't believe that these jeans are real so therefore, I will not wear it. I want my refund. I had contacted ebay and they told me to try to resolve it with you first.
i replied with a not so friendly e-mail to send them back and i'll refund her. i dont have the patience to deal with ignorant people. i told her that she's sending back authentic jeans and that her senior staff doesnt know the difference between authentic/fake jeans.

I'm so aggravated right now!!!!!

That sucks! I hate stupid people, too. Hopefully you can sell them for even more the 2nd time around.
