Hi,
So a few weeks ago I lamented that my tailor had hemmed my new Bobbys too short and I was devastates because I LOVED the fit. Well, I decided to go nuts and get them cropped. Here's where I went wrong:
Bobbys are not Sammys. I tried to copy the shorter inseam and big hem of the Sammy crops. I should have had them cropped into longer capris because the Bobby's legs are skinny until much lower down where they flare out. So now I have some skinny crops that I don't really like. I even had the tailor slit the hem on one side to make it wider, but I'm not a huge fan of the result.
If someone (Luvapup and others) is considering cropping some Bobbys, I highly recommend going with a longer inseam than I did - something just a few inches above the ankles would look pretty good (mid-lower shin)
Sorry for the long post. Please bear with me!
So now my question is: should I crop them further, into knee-length type bermuda short things? Or cut my losses and try to sell them on eBay as crops? HELP!!
Thank you.
