TR Sammys...not so cute? (pics)

I'm on the fence about my TR Sammys (dk. pony express). The first time I put them on, I thought they were cute. But now I'm not sure. And for $130, I should be absolutely in love with them, right?
I can't believe I'm posting pictures...please be nice. The angle makes me look huge and wide-hipped and I am far from tiny...but my question is, are these flattering and cute, or should I sell them and look for something else?

this pic makes my upper thighs look hugely muscled & they aren't...

And the icky butt two times (may be traumatic)



I can't believe I'm posting these. But my boyfriend thinks my jeans mostly look alike, and I don't want to keep them if they aren't flattering. Help!

they seem to be a bit tight. maybe try to stretch them out a bit by wearing them in. Also I don't like your shoes.

you say you are far from tiny. i say if you are a 25, you are tiny and IMO they don't make you look tiny. I have admired these jeans from afar and have yet to purchase them, afraid of what they may end up looking like.
I think they look good from the front and sides, but not in the back
that's just my opnion though.

first, the shoes are throwing me off - I think they'd look better with a pointy toed shoe (high heel or flat, doesn't matter)

second, the jeans look like they're a bit on the snug side - from what i've read, sammy's stretch out so maybe after a few hours of wear, they'll look better

third, the jeans do absolutely NOTHING for your tush. in fact, it kind of flattens it out. i have this same problem with the sammy's. you might be better off with the TR Bobby's. those of us who are not blessed with any kind of rear end need jeans that have smaller pockets that are placed higher up (the pockets should not extend past where the butt-meets-thigh area) and the Bobby's meet this criteria.

IMO they are a TINY bit tight...I think they look pretty good front & side. but a little tight from the back. This may fix itself if you wear them they stretch out some. I love Sammy Dark pony...and 130 was a good deal...you know retail can you exchange for size? I think you may be happier with one size up, but you hardly look wide...at all!!

They look cute from the front, but not flattering from the back, IMO. I think you should sell them and find a pair that flatters your figure and that you are comfortable in! And yes, you should be THRILLED if you buy $130 jeans!

IMO, if you have a nice tush, sammy's will work for you. if you have a little tush, well, these jeans will not flatter you.

they look good from the front and sides, but the pockets are too low in the back IMO. i dont think that there is anything wrong with your butt, i just think that the pockets are too low! so if you dont love them, you should sell them and buy a more flattering pair

for some reason they actually look loose to me. sammy isnt my fave syle of tr but i think those are pretty cute on you!

It's my boyfriend's apartment...it's an old pot that used to contain a poinsetta.

Thanks for the feedback...it's kind of confirming what I thought. They're cute, but I could definitely do better for the price. They fit kind of loose in the butt, actually, like they bag up strangely?
And I know that my shoes are probably straight from the worst dressed list . Living in rural NM has gone to my head.

nah, the shoes are fine. i'm just need to see pointy-toed shoes before making a final decision, even IF i'm going to wear sneakers with the jeans. I know, very strange.

sorry...but not flattering at all...if you are a 25...those are the wrong jeans for you...I too have a sort of "flat" cafeteria tray ass so to speak...& I think the pockets are WAY too low. Go with the JOEY's...the pockets are placed higher...the bobby's are also more flattering.

I feel the same way for the last picture. I don't know why but the last picture looks like they are a bit loose on you.

I agreed with others that they look cute from the front and sides.
And I just read your posting confirming that they are baggy in the butt area.
I guess if you don't mind the butt area is a bit baggy, they are good.
The stretch sammy's I have stretch out quite a lot. They are good the first time I put them on. I guess it might be good to put this point into consideration if you can't decide.

I felt the same way about my Sammys (I've bought and sold 3 pairs...)... on me they always look good from the front and sides and awful from the back... the pockets are just soooo low on me too!

Are the pockets placed differently for different washes or do they just fit each of us differently???

i think the sammy mediums (ranch?) have a different placement of the pockets (higher up on the tush)

I think I'm going to sell them.
And the pics are coming down soon...it's a little humiliating putting my blubber up for the world to see. Thanks so much for your honest feedback- I was having a hard time admitting that these jeans just aren't flattering to my body, but now I'm pretty damn sure that I should never wear these out of the house & would be much better off selling them!andhittingthegymanddropping10pounds

This is why I don't like Sammys. Another vote for you to get Bobbys or Joeys instead. You have a great figure, it's definitely not you, it's the jeans.

I agree totally! Don't feel bad about posting the pics, at least you just confirmed the way you probably felt about the way the jeans looked---and you'll have more money to spend on another pair!!
