BUY SOME DIESEL FOR HONEST DAVE !!!

Thread Starter
What is this, our denim messiah Honest Dave doesn't actually own a pair of Diesel jeans?!! Well I think it's the least we can do to pitch in a few bucks each to buy him his own pair.

blm14 says Dave's not too picky, so what better way to get him started than with a pair of Zathan 772s? Bonus -- there's a very nice pair in the Honest Mall in Dave's size, 32x32! Going price seems to be $125, shipped.

So if you're interested, please send a donation to blm14's Paypal account (better to have the most trusted HF member as our intermediary, right? ).
hal8999_@hotmail.com

I'll get things started with a very modest $10 contribution to the cause.

I can attest that he's always wanted a 772 but I also know that it's not at the top of his list of things to do with money. Oh well, lets get him one anyways

hah! Most of you dont know the history of this place. Originally, dave was looking into ways of getting income and he stumbled on the diesel thing. His first purchase (from wholesale411.com) was all fakes. He started this place as an alternative to wholesale411.com. I dont think he was ever so much into designer clothing per se but rather into the process of making a living without having to resort to fraud.

ahahahah. this is great! you guys are too much!

yea. most everybody here is way more fashion savy than i am!

i would love to get my first pair of diesel jeans. i think i like the zathan 770's but the 772's are sweet too.

if anybody can find me a pair of 770's (or 772's) i will chip in whatever is needed.

also i will take some before and after pics for the "what are you wearing today" thread.

thanks so much to all you guys....you rock!

haha yeah i knew that much. i remember talking to him once on AIM a long ass time ago (even before this forum when he was just running honestdave.com) and we chatted about Diesel and wholesale business, finance and stuff like that.
anyway i just didn't know that he wasn't really into Diesel or anything like that. he must appreciate it to some extent.

Is there an update of how much has been chipped in already?

(then block Dave from accessing that thread/post)

(if that is even possible)

its not possible. we've gotten $15 so far and I'm gonna pitch in $20 so that's $35. Need another $90!

Ben is the only one who sees the contributions and I'm sure he won't judge anyone on the degree of their generosity
post #16 of 132
Ben, I hope you have a personal account so we can send bank account/pp balance payments and not have some of it lost to fees!
This may be a little of topic.
It also may be a dumb question, I'm not sure.

But, does dave make money for running this site? Or is this just like a voluntary thing? I really have no idea .

money comes in from ads.
goes to our HF bank account.
money goes out to pay for hosting. to sponsor projects.

no hf money has gone to myself or any mods.

when we have more info we will update the money and advertising standards
