If you bought Zathan 772's from Urban Outfitters

Thread Starter
I was in Santa Barbara last weekend and I was looking through their Diesel's when I noticed that there were a fake pair of 772's on the shelf. I grabbed a real pair too and asked for the manager. They said that they were told to be on the lookout for fakes, but upon looking in the jeans I found 7 pairs of fakes!!! I showed them how to tell fakes from authentic. They were SHOCKED!!
Someone must have been returning fakes to them. Crazy.......

If you recently bought a pair from there or another Urban Outfitters I'd double check. Sucks to pay $179 for a pair of crap.

Just thought Id offer the info.

This has been discussed before in earlier threads. I've seen fake 772s in urban outfitters in cambridge MA and I saw three pairs of fakes (from among maybe 200 real ones) at macys a few weeks back. It definately happens and the only way to prevent it is to educate the store clerks so that the wont take them back and also to educate the general public so they dont buy the fakes to begin with

Agreed. Anyone who wants to hone their abilities at spotting fake Diesels (or at least fake Zathan 772s) should stop by their local Urban Outfitters and compare the jeans they have for sale. At both stores in D.C., I found at least five pairs of fakes.

i am shocked. I recently was at an Urban Outfitters here in Westwood Village in California and saw several pairs of Zathan 772s. I am pretty sure that they were authentic, but I now must be more wary about these things I guess. However, ordering from Urbanoutffiters.com would be a safe bet right?

They have a return policy online. They actually ship you a return mailing label, and I dont think that they expect you to give them a reason for the return so....

Their return policy is excellent. Even though I live right by an UO store, I order online from them for my size. If you do this and want to return something return it to the store, it saves you the $6 that automatic return label deducts from your return.

I saw a pair at Nordsrtoms the other day.

Well now all you ebayers who had hard luck with their original 772's know how to make a little money off your troubles and give big business a kick in the junk as well. I'm sure Diesel stores wouldn't let this happen though.
