if you look at the wash on Diesel's site on the Cherones they have little green stars on the jeans. Look up close on the legs.

The Zathans have a planet on them or somthing. thats the thing below the pocket on the site photo . it looks like a hole but it's some intergalactic space jeans.

Im really curious what these look like in person.

yeah i mentioned the same thing on the earlier post...actually in the advertisement section theres a bigger pic of it ..its like a comet..pretty neat and the wash looks really distinct..i tend to think the diesel site's contrast is generally more understated compared to the actual item . or maybe its my laptop screen..

Yea, it is a planet. They look real nice on the comp, but not nice as in person. Still a really really nice pair of pants, and def. one of my favorites, but don't make your assumptions based on the cartoonized guy or you'll be disapointed.

I'm glad this jean is in the 700 series. I really don't like Diesel's 80 series w/ the Japanese denim.. really prefer the 700 more.

I prefered the 80 series alot more than the 700 series.

I'm not sure there's any consistancy either color or material-wise in terms of the wash numbers. You can check the fall winter 2004 AND the new spring summer 2005 washes and you'll see what I mean. If there's a pattern I cant really discern one. Of course we also have a rather small sample size as of yet...

80s are a thinner lighter denim, with certain higher-quality ones made of Japanese denim, most around 11-12.5oz. 700s are a thicker heavier denim, about 13.5-15 oz.

They don't really say this b/c of the planet embroidery... they say it just to make random comments to make the wash seem cool. The reason many of their clothes have planet embrodery (708, 710, M81, etc.) is b/c Feb/Mar are the months Diesel is using the "Follow me to the Stars" theme.
