Just got my Sammy Crops...

...and if I were 10 years younger, I'd keep 'em. They actually look pretty cute on, but the pockets are WAY low, and they're too spendy to keep if I'm not sure.

Depending on how my Easy Rider Bobbys fit, I may crop my bobby med.prems instead....I love crops!

Thank you!!! You just saved me alot of $$ and time. I love Joeys and they are low enough (pockets). I tried on Sammys once and thought the exact same thing, teeny bopper. The pckets are way too low to be flattering IMO. I was starting to rethink the crops, but not now.

yeah, I know. I am 33 and just stopped shopping in Juniors this year!
"Must dress more mature", that's what I keep telling myself. It's such an in between age.

You are describing me exactly (except I'll be 32 in April). My main problem is that I'm petite, so much of the clothing in the 'grown-ups' section is a little big. Oh well...things could be worse!!

I'm gonna be 31 in a few weeks and I love them. . . I don't feel too young in them. But I can understand not liking how some pairs look. I'm not a mommy yet. . . and I do feel like I'm still 18. . . .

Actually, I should clarify: on the pictures people have posted here, they look great - and different than the way they fit me. I think my bum is too high for the jeans, so the pockets are almost entirely on my legs. Still looks cute, but too young for my taste.

I had figured that would be the case, but seeing the pics posted here made me order them to test the theory.

If you ask a man his opinion on the super low pockets, I bet they don't like them. For some reason they really aren't the most feminine look. I also think they will go out of style pretty quickly which is bad considering the prices! This has been discussed before and it seems like several gals hubbies think these look like shit-kickin' jeans! I still like Rigid Joeys the best and find that they flatter the most people.

Holy cow, I felt the same way.. my bum is too big/ high... the pockets are too low... and I am too old (also 33)... but they fit some people great...

I am so glad i read this. I am totally new to TR. i have admired Sammies from afar for quite some time. I can't find them anywhere to try them on. I cam really close to bidding on Ebay tonight. After reading this thread, i think i won't now. I am 35 going on 36, and have the same fear on how i would look in those jeans.
I love the look of true religions jeans. i have only been able to try on Joeys. i personally do not like them at all. I don't like the seams on the pant legs and they were super duper tight on me.
What kind would any of you suggest for me to try? I am a mommy going on 36 and cannot have the rise too low and the jeans too tight.
Should I rule out TR??

I personally really like Joeys, but since you don't like those, have you checked out any Bobbys? I think the rise on them is the same with Joeys and Sammys (7 inches) but there's usually an inch more room or so in the knees, and I think those look good on a lot of people of different shapes/sizes too. I'm usually more partial to darker washes, but I really like the Bobby Big T's in Super Light Vintage that Revolve has in now . . . but the Rainbow Big T Bobbys in Dark Hand Sand are really pretty too. I'll shut up now.

If you like 7FAM I would suggest the Bobbys b/c the pockets sit in the same place (on your butt instead of down the leg).....
By any chance did you try on the Joey rigid or stretch? I HATED the stretch (as to most people) but love the rigid.. and I actually like the uniqueness of the twisted seam but it take a while for it to grow on some people....

yes, do try bobbys, I like them much better than joeys, although I do want to eventually get a pair of joeys.

and I have to agree about the stetch, I liked sfam before I liked tr and I like non stretch tr and hate hate hate stretch tr.

Ditto. I like most SFAM stretch and HATE TR stretch, (at least the ones I have tried). Rigid TR Joeys are great!
