flap pockets on small butts

So, yeah, mine is small/nonexistent. I always thought that flap pockets helped because it 'put something back there.' But I've seen other things say they make it look smaller.

I'm such a bad judge about what looks good and doesn't on me. Opinions?

so I think they usually emphasize the butt, but for some reason I think hudsons do the opposite and make it smaller at least on me.

but in general I agree they make butts look a bit bigger.

yes I agree my joeys give me j.lo ass!!!....I don't mind bc I know its only an illusion but my bf likes the "illusion"

Do 7FAM make a flap pocket? Damn, I must've missed those! I don't pack much junk in the trunk, so I LOOOOVE flap pocket jeans! My TR Joeys are by far my favorites If you get the stretch kind, it gives you a little more "oomph"

Ahh OK! Thanks for all the opinions! I'd been thinking about getting some Joey's, but saw one ad somewhere that said "makes your butt look smaller!" And that's the last thing I need.

Okay, Joeys will make the butt look smaller. This is more what I had in mind: I saw them on a tall thin girl with a small rear end and they looked soo cute. I have also tried them on and loved them. Click on "alternate view" to see the back.

I dont think joeys make the butt look smaller at all, mine definetly looked bigger in all the joeys I have ever tried on that it does in other jeans.

also twyla if you like those you should go to nord rack if you have one close by I just saw like ten pairs of them at mine a week or two ago for like $44

it really depends on the size of the flap pocket. i've tried on the joeys but the pocket extends so far down into the back thigh are that it makes my butt look flat, especially in profile. if the pocket ends right at the butt-meets-thigh area or just above, then yipee!! Plus, if the pocket has a flap AND is on butt-thigh or above, then yowza!!!!!

i've spent much time pondering this topic. as a result, i may have to give up my sammy's

Oh, I will have to call the Rack in AZ. and ask if they have any. Last time I went they had NO SFAM. That's a great price!!
The Joeys in rigid make butt look smaller IMO, stretch, not so much.

I totally agree that flap pockets enhance the area!

However, I wouldn't just go for any jeans w/ flap pockets. I love SFAM's Miller trousers and Paige's Sweetzer trousers. Some flap pockets are placed too low and could make the area look flat. I think pockets of the TR jeans are placed a little low for people who have small butt.
