i dont think daisy dukes are for me...

ok this is embarassing... i am not sure if i should return... i got these at ronherman for 37.50 but they really do look aweful on me. i dont think any piece of denim has ever made me look so fat! what do you guys think i should do? resell, return, or keep to wear around the house? also, when is one too old to wear daisy dukes??

I don't think they make you look fat...but they are quite short! Since you don't feel comfortable in them I would just sell them. I'm sure you could probably get more than what you paid for them on ebay or something. I had those in the "cart" and I decided against them. I know you are way smaller than me so I would have looked whaleish in them. IMO, I think that by the time you hit 30, daisy dukes are just too short. But that's just me...

I think they look really cute on you! Maybe you're just not used to it right now, but when spring/summer comes, and you wear it more often, you would be. I really think they're a cool pair of shorts to own, especially for that price

i'll keep them around for a bit and see if i make it out to the beach to tan my legs... they will probably do better on ebay comes spring anyways.

Whaat.. ally, arent you a size 24? NO WAY do you look fat in them!

I always have trouble finding shorts that have a small enough leg opening that fit my legs.. those TRs fit you great! Keep them!!

I'm 29 and people still think that I'm in high school. That being said, I personally don't like wearing super short shorts anymore. I feel like I'm dressing like a high schooler... If you can pull them off and look great, I'm happy for you! I'm alot bigger than than both of you so I don't look as nice in short shorts no matter what my age. Sometimes though I've seen women who are mid thirties wearing stuff like that and IMO they look funny, maybe trying too hard, but it also depends on what is worn with them... I"m not saying that older women shouldn't wear them, if you like them and your comfortable -- go for it!! just my 2 cents!

i feel like i am a bit old for them too, not sure if i'll feel comfortable walking out in something sooo short. i dont think i owned shorts that short in college! i wore lots of short/frilly abercrombie/hollister stuff that i don't touch anymore but i still shop from those brands, just get the more conservative/preppy stuff now.

Yep, that's exactly how I feel. I try to wear stuff that's cute but a little more age appropriate.

Definately don't do it if you are uncomfortable. I think "age appropriate" varies from person to person, how they look & feel about them selves really shows to others.

I guess I'll never be "age appropriate" cuz when I'm 65 or so I'm surely not suddenly gonna start wearing polyester plaid pants up to my boobs just cuz the other ladies are!!

me, too, lite! I actually don't own any denim shorts because of that problem. I own like 8 pairs of soffe cotton shorts, and live in those in the summertime.

The main reason I have that problem is because of my fat hips in comparsion to my skinny legs.

the ones i have are 25 cuz that is all ron herman had and i think i heard they run small (cuz i can wear 24 in all TRs with no problem). also i didn't want my shorts to be as tight as my jeans (although they ended up being kinda tight anyways) so i thought a 25 was ok.

I dont think they are to short but maybe a little to tight in the wrong areas ie waist> they just dont fill out right. I think they would look great if the hips, butt and legs were a tiny bit more toned> not to sound like an a hole just giving an honest opinion
