Any TR lovers also HATE SEVEN???

I just thought I would get this outta me..

I'm probably one of the few who hate Seven jeans. The fit (for men), especially the boot cuts are horrible, so is the quality vs. the price. Plus EVERYONE has them; there is no hype to them anymore. I also don't like how they have 261 different back pocket designs.. They're no longer exclusive, anyone can afford them. These are all just my opinions so don't blow up on me lol.

This is why I LOVE TR. Not everyone has them, the fits are awesome, and their signature pocket styles are all relatively the same. And they turn heads...

i CAN SEE A Idalis making that her avatar

But in all seriousness theyre ok...

Quite a collection of pics you put together there...

IMO I think they feel like cardboard compared to TR.

I only tried on 2 cuts and was far from impressed... but i've seen them on other people and they look good.

Have you made a trip into the rural United States lately? I know where I live (and where a lot of other people that post here live) there are very few people who wear SFAM or any premium denim, for that matter, and I definitely wouldn't say that everyone can afford jeans that retail for $100-$300 at least. I think a lot of us people that live in the rural parts probably see a lot of Wal-Mart/K-Mart brand, tapered, and washed out 80s lookin' jeans around our parts. I'm a big fan of both TR and SFAMK, as well as some other premium denim designers, so I'm not trying to hate just because you said you can't stand SFAM.

Thats understandable in the more rural areas, Off 5th and Rack have them for like 65-89 dollars.

Has a thread ever been locked in this section? Albeit we don't have the drama like the 7 section (those shillers and other weird stuff).

Yes it has been several times, but most people here behave well (most of the time)

That was my next comment! There's not a Rack for 100+ miles from here, and we just now got an Off 5th an hour or so from here.

AHAHAHAHA! What a Hater! You only hate Sevens because they don't look good on you. Those of us they look amazing on, will wear them with pride.
As for TR, Adore them, and with sales, yes most can afford them.

yeah, definately know where you are coming from! for most people i know $90 still is a lot of money to blow on a pair of jeans, so no...not everybody has them or can afford them. i spend around the same amount for my TRs as I do my Sevens, so i dont see TRs being that much more exclusive. I love TR, but sometimes they take it too far with stuff like the Ashburys.

I know . . . if most of the people in my town knew that I spent more than like $20 on a pair of jeans, I'd get clubbed in a back alley or something. I've never paid retail for any of my premium denim, but it's still 10x more than any of the people around here would pay for a pair of jeans.

I have the Ashbury's! They really are a lot cuter in person, and on, than in pics!

Like I siad, its all my opinion.

I actually hemmed some Sevens that I had, after hemming them, they completly fell apart in the washer. The edges frayed and started to come apart. With my TRs and Earnest Sewns.. it never happened. And anyway.. if jeans look hideous on somone.. I DOUBT they are going to like 'em. Everyones knows that.

I am a TR girl all the way...I agree that the fit is amazing...and they always look cute, but I still love my SFAM Havanas...They fit great and have an awesome wash.... I just bougha pair of hudsons today and COH byron bays last week.....and adore those too...If they fit good and make my butt look nice...I will pay for them...
I am not a SFAM hater

Well maybe, it was the hemming job that was shoddy and not necessarily the sevens.
im gonna agree here. almost every premium jean for that matter would not fall apart from hemming, assuming 1) the jean wasnt a defect and 2) the hemming job was done properly.

even gap jeans dont fall apart from hemming

well, I love Seven, I don't wear the bootcuts or the dojos cause they look like crap on me but I love flynts and a pockets. Not everyone can afford them. My friends think it's crazy that I spend more than 20 bucks on jeans. And I don't live in a rural area. They, at least here, are still pretty darn exclusive (to the rich, which I am certainly NOT--people here pay retail, only ever seen 1 pair of fakes). I think the pocket variation is kinda nice, actually. It's pretty neat to be able to wear flynts when your outfit is a little wild, bootcuts when you're feeling classic, and a's when you want to feel super-comfy. It's always good to throw in a little variety. I love TR, don't get me wrong, and I have never seen anyone in TR around here (except for me) but I think if I wore them everyday I might get kinda bored. Just my opinion, and everyone is entitled to their own.

BTW, we don't have a saks, nordies, or anything. also, no discount stores. and jeans rarely go on sale around here. I am going to a big sale and they are like the only boutique in the city that ever puts decent jeans on sale. but they don't carry TR.
