Yeah, I agree. $400 for bigger tags and thicker threads? From what I've seen they aren't a whole lot different, seems too pricey for me...

damn, TR was one of the main companies pushing the $300 mark that everyone thought was crazy, now they are pushing the $400 with several different cuts/washes. Where is it gonna stop!!!

I can't really even think of any Antiks that are that much, and IMO Antiks are constructed way better and overall are much better quality than TR, there is no reason TR should be pushing prices this high.

but i guess it really has nothing to do with quality, its just how popular we make them and how much we'll pay for them! BOYCOT BOYCOT!!!

Yeah I think this is true also, TR's arent even handsewn handmad, I have a few pairs of tr's and antiks and the distressing on TR's looks like it was just done by a machine.....Antiks are all hand made hand sewn, most of them go for 300 bucks at teh high end and thats understandable because of the hand made aspect of it

yeap yeap yeap...im comparing them next to each other as we speak. Even the holes that Antik puts in their denim look so much more authentic and given more attention too...the TR holes look like someone didn't really care. TR could really be a GREAT denim line if more attention was paid to washing techniques. I think TR is as unique in their styling and cuts as Antik is, but there is absolutely no comparison in quality.

Not to side with big business and justifiy how much some of them charge for their jeans, but in the case of the Super T's...TR had to purchase special machines for these because of the thickness of the stitching. They definitely shouldn't be priced at $400, that's for damn sure! I think the store that's got 'em going for that is trying to see if people will pay it, since they're one of the few that have them right now. I guarantee they will not have a price tag of $400 once other stores start getting them in. Expect to see an avg. price of $330. Still pricey, I agree, but when you consider the Big T's go for $240-$297...it's just the next step up.

Staluckey, did you go today? Any pix???

Politix's don't mark up the prices on TR's. Whatever they sell it for is TR's retail price.

HAHA I was on the way there but stopped @ Nordstrom Rack and got sidetracked!!! I'll try and go soon!
Well it just shows how many TRs end up at the rack. If they are charging more than people are willing to pay for they will just have to go on sale.

Staluckey, if you're going just for the Super T's, call first. I was there today, the girl showed me boxes and boxes of stuff they had behind the counter, but didn't have time to unpack...she didn't know what was in them. She said if the Super T's weren't in those boxes, they would be in sometime next week.

The store is SWEET...but it's so tiny! There was a line to get someone to help you (and there were like 5 people working ), and then a line to get in the dressing rooms...the place was packed!

Kinda OT, but does anyone remember Nordy's ever selling the snakeskin Joeys and such at full price? I'm pretty sure the one here never did, and I don't think they were ever being sold on the website, so I'm curious how the Rack seemed to end up with a truckload of them.

I was wondering the same thing myself. No Nordstrom here had them. Not that I'm complaining!

Agreed. They had some non-destroyed stuff in medium miner that was okay though, but that again I don't think Nordy's ever sold.

ok so I finally went to Politix today and the BIG Ts are amazing!!! They have 5 THREADS instead of the 3(hence SUPER) I had my camera and was going to take them to the dressing room but I had already told the guy what size I was and then he told me they only ordered sizes 28-32 So it would've looked very suspicious for me to take them in the dressing room anyway...Also in Super Big T are BOBBYS which are cheaper $270(or somethign around there) Bobbys are a dark wash w/ no distressing.

They sales guy told me in order to get my size I would have to pay NOW and then wait 6 WEEKS to get them-hell no to that even if I had the $$$

on a brighter note they had some big ts for $145 w/ an additional 20% off in 36 but I was broke from going to the Warehouse sale
