Hey, do zathans (or diesels in general) run true to size? So if i've got a tagged 30 inseam.. does that mean that the inseam will basically be 30?

thanks

I cant speak for inseam 30 because I've never gotten one, but generally diesel inseams are consistant, but off. Like, the 32 is usually about an inch longer than 32, and the 34 also.

That's right, it's almost exact if not 1/2" longer from the crotch to where the bottom stitch is. Like on a Rumbum where the bottom part is thick about 2" and if it's a L.32 then it will be around 34 1/2" inseam

that doesn't round right at all.

i have a pair of cardiels with larger hems and they are a 30 inseam, and they measure 30 in. down to the bottom of the pant leg, not the stitch.

and i would say that in general inseams are pretty inconsistent. i always buy 30 in. inseam. out of my 4 pairs of zathans one was exact, one was 1 in. longer, one was 3/4 in. longer and another was over an in. longer.

I should have mentioned that I haven't tried on every pair of diesels in existance, or pants generally for that matter. It actually wouldn't surprise me if there were exceptions to my rule, but that's just the rule I've worked out from what I own.

I think if it's 30", the real measurement will be about 31"

Never skimp on the inseam. It is probably more important than even the waist size. The ulitmate blunder is highwaters. Having them come over your shoes and even touch the groud slightly is probably the best way to wear them. Never buy something that you think might be shorter. Always go long.

i agree with zathansrule on this one. also, as most salespeople will tell you, inseams can often shrink up a bit if you wash the jeans a few times. plus its more than worth it to have a pair of too long jeans professionally hemmed to fit your needs, as opposed to being stuck with a pair of too short jeans you'll never enjoy wearing.
