Jeans for muscular thighs...

What are some good designer jeans for women with muscular thighs?

I have a woman I work with and she LOVES my Citizens and other cute jeans, but she has muscular thighs and shorter legs. I want to try to find her some jeans that will look great on her, but I don't know where to start! I am 5'9" tall with a slender build, so slim jeans look good on me.

What do you suggest?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not trying to sound weird, but what is her butt like? I have a friend who wears citizens/SFAM/true religion, but she is not real skinny. She's not fat, but she looks thick, because she has a big butt, and thick thighs. She's my hegiht (4'11), or an inch shorter, and about a size 2. Okay compared to me she's not skinny.

Okay, but since when is a size 2 considered thick? I doubt she has too big of a butt/thighs or she wouldn't be a sz. 2!

i know this i sorta different. but i am a guy w/ muscular tighs and tr joeys work for me

I have thick thighs and a big ass and so far the SFAM bootcuts are my best bet (forget the A pockets) and only in stretch (and it takes alot of wiggling to get them on!) I also love my Dojos but I dont think they are good for shorter ladies....

I also really love my Kasil jeans (they make my butt look smaller).

Asking how her butt looks isn't weird! It's a very legitimate question! She has wide hips, thus creating a bigger butt. It's not a bubble butt, but she a bit short as well (about 5'5"...?). She likes her jeans long, and can have them hemmed, but she currently wears MENS jeans!

She's not fat, but she's not tall and slender.

Thanks hsensi for letting me know about the Kasil's... I'll have to check those out for her!

Do True Religions work on that type of body? Acidburn said that the men's TR's work for him, but will they work for a woman? I have a pair of 31 fake TR's here in my house. Maybe I'll give them to her to try on. If she likes them we'll know that the Joey's will work too...

Any more suggestions?! THANKS!

I think she just meant proportionally, as compared to her height

Uhh... why would you try on fakes? They probably fit like a potato sack...

Have you tried AG Jeans? I have some Geminis that I bought after I had my baby when I had bigger thighs/hips. It's not that popular of a style and there are tons of them at TJ Maxx and Nord Rack. But it really flatters bigger hips/thighs. The Angel jean is also good and has a flared leg instead of straight.

Hah - I am short (5'0) with muscular legs and butt due to running/ellptical/lunges. Personally, I like Joes Jeans, Paiges, Citizens, Kasils, and True Religion - these really flatter my butt (very important). It all depends on what she is looking for.

As for the TR Joeys, I fell in love with the 3 pairs I tried on. I was actually surprised with how good they looked, but I would not try on a fake pair just because that is not the true fit.

Paiges look REALLY good - I have the Fairfax and Hollywood Hills, both pairs look AMAZING. I definately suggest trying these

Joes honey or lover would be perfect for her

Exactly!! She has a bubble butt. Seriously. She can wear really baggy sweatpants/velour pants, and still have an ass!!! She is about 4'11, with a JLO booty. For real. If she didn't go away to college I would ask her if i could take a picture for you to see.
I also said compared to me she isn't skinny. but that's because we're the same height, and she's about 12 lbs. heavier. Put it like this. She wears seven jeans, and on her, because she has 'junk in her trunk', her jeans are as low as Frankie B jeans. She sits down in them, and her ass is hanging out!!! She has a JLO butt, on her 4'11 body. She claims she is a size 2, but I find that hard to believe...

Oh the fakes that I have fit JUST as well, if not better in fact, than my real TR's. They're practically identical to the originals. The cut, feel, material, stitching, length... everything is identical. The only real difference is the horseshoe is a tiny bit different and TR never made a crystal pocket jean. They are actually one of my favorite pairs and they fit me SO well!! Not all fakes are junk.

WOW! Thanks to all who gave suggestions! I'm going to tell her some of these brands (she is NOT a shopper) and get her size. I may have to help her figure out what she wears in size. Like I said - she's been wearing men's jeans.

She NEEDS help... Thanks!!

What about Buckle? There is a Buckle in the local mall... they have some really cute styles that she may like - she's in her 40's so staying away from young styles may be best. lol
post #15 of 46
There are a couple Buckle stores in the malls around here and I know several of my friends shop there along with my ex (I am 21 and in college) for Lucky Jeans. They are cute, but I always see teens and 20-somethings in that store.

IMO I do not think that Paiges and some Joes are really a young or old style - in fact, I would LOOOOVE to see my mom in a pair of Paiges (shes in her 40s). She would look fringin hot. I also agree with the AG Jean comment earlier - those are a possibility.

tell her to try and lose the muscle in her legs. i hate muscle anywhere except for the moderate amount of it on my arms. it's overrated, and i think looks gross. sorry thats just how i feel.

Are you freaking kidding?? How does one lose muscle?? Sit around or lay around and give up the gym and then just turn into a pile of mush???

I am serious... How in gods name does one lose muscle? I know how to lose fat, eat right and exercise, but honestly I think that if you are a runner or cycler and you have big legs, it is genetic...b/c I know many that have very slim legs.... There isn't anything you can do. My legs are pretty big, but I am only a size 2 or 4... and I spin, run, step, box, etc on a regular basis.... if I give that up my legs might trim down but I will get fat!

hsensi, my thoughts exactly! losing muscle makes you flabby, decreases your metabolism, and lowers your general fitness level.

yeah but then you can just lose the fat after the muscle. i'd rather have fat legs than muscular ones. (fats easier to lose than muscle i'd presume)

And not to mention lower muscle mass is tied to osteoporosis.

I have short legs, but have a muscular build. I would loooove to have skinner legs but working out in general just causes my legs to be "bigger". I run/elliptical/weight lift/diet but that does not get my legs any smaller - leaner, but not smaller. I think that females that have an athletic build really do not have a choice of "losing muscle", unless they want to get fat.

I totally agree. What's the deal with gay guys thinking everyone should be emaciated and weak?

Exactly, and personally I think it looks much better when th ebulk is muscle and not flab. It's so stupid, I think this is why many people develop eating disorders....

That's a retarded presumption. And I'm not sorry for saying that.
