Well I'll still be trying to get them for less.

$400 is kinda nuts I agree. I've also noticed a drastic change ni the past year or so in the style of the diesels jeans, which I like a lot! So I will definately stick true to the brand as well, much as it may hurt my wallet.
A guy I know who buys directly from diesel for a small NYC store told me that diesel has cut their distribution by 50% in the last 6 months, and they don't plan to sell to any new people, so he was excited that he already had a contract. I will let people here know if he's unable to get anymore and if this rumor about the diesel-store-only sales is true. Somehow I don't see it happening entirely; Diesel stores are simply not in enough places to cover the demand...
