Help me, I need crystals! - Page 2

You don't need a cloth, I did it without (figured it would be much easier to make sure the crystal hadn't moved that way).
this is funny because my fakes haven't lost any crystals and I used to wear them at least once a week.

I'd be so scared to iron on crystals...I'd be so afraid that they would melt!

The Vancouvers I just bought are regular ones w/o crystals. I'm thinking of putting ABs on them myself. Maybe I'll try some projects on the cheap signatures I won, too. What colors do you think would look good on the older NY washes?

The volcanos!

What are volcanoes - pic please, or at least a vivid description.

Go to the site I mentioned, all the colors are shown: http://www.ejoyce.com/pmain?cmd=e_vi...e=000100020005

FYI-for anyone who wants to know. i have done more research on the crystals with some help from a forum member and the crystal for the sugar plums need to be a size 7ss or 8ss. The 6ss(2mm) are a little too small. Unfornutely, The hotfix do not come in these sizes...at least not in the U.S.
BTW, the color of the blue crystal is Montana.
Thanks to everyone that has helped.

thanks for thinking of me, idalis.
I met another forum member that is in Germany. We have been talking and there is a web site that sells all of the colors in the hotfix in the size I need. She is going to buy them and we are going to split them. So, hopefully within a couple of weeks my sugar plums will be "whole" again.
Thanks for yourhelp.

The one in Europe is: www.strasssteine.com
Another good one depending on what you need, is rhinestoneshop.com, plus of course, the one you had mentioned.

when ironing on the crystals what temp should your iron be at? should they touch the crystal or just have the heat be near it? thanks!

What about Havana's size and color? My crystals are falling off like crazy! I though about just taking them all off but I will probably try this first.

When I ironed on my crystals, I had the setting on the highest one (cotton), and I put the iron directly on the crystals. But I *think* you can use the applicator and that'll heat up. But I'm not sure.
I also used 100 rhinestones from Rhinstoneshop.com
