Diesel Fall/Winter 2014 FW14 - Page 13

Damn it, never been so exciting to see so many wonderful washes since a long time ago, and never been so upset when realizing that I cannot afford them!!

I don't know if it is just me or I haven't seen anything that exciting so far. Yes, there are some good ones. The Blue Eyecon Thavar is gonna be a good one to own, but I don't see many exciting new ones.

I have to say that year 2011-2012 was probably the BOOM of Diesel. I feel that way because of all the campaigns and photos they have about these seasons. They have some many advertising materials and they made you like their jeans from the ads and commercials they have. This i call a great advertising and marketing.

And what I am talking about is all the ads and photos that I can find online for the 8x2 Thavar, 8880M even... Not only these.

But still, hope they will come out with some better ones next season. Idk why but I always have more optimistic hopes for the Spring/Summer collections. I feel like they always bring something new as a style, cut or even a trend.

p.s. Sorry for the off-topic.

Concerning the campaigns and general product display, I think I get your point. I have a small collection of advertisement material released by Diesel that goes back all the way to 2005. Also, I own their book "Fifty" that contains a retrospective of many different ad campaigns of the past 35 years.

If we take the past few years for comparison, you'll most likely say that the overall style of the campaigns changes drastically every other year or so. With that being said, I think none is superior to another, I think it's really a matter of personal taste. Diesel is known to be striving to change while always staying loyal to their roots, what I would define as one of their trademark characteristics.

By the way, I'd say my favourite era in terms of ad campaigns of the past few years would also be 2011-2012, however, the following years somehow always managed to amaze me, even though it almost never was "love at first sight". /offtopic

Is the krooley cut being discontinued? I ask about 100% cotton, not joggjeans. I don't see any in FW2014 collection...

Yes, Krooley is being phased out. Maybe not 100% yet, but deff in the near future. They will only exist in JJ. The krayver is supposed to be the new Krooley, just more pronounced dimensions. Sucks, i know :/

honestly im happy to hear that. now lets get rid of safado!

They will probably substitute them with similar cuts.

Those buster selvedge jeans I saw on Saks website look like raw denim, are they? (I doubt it, but a guy can dream right?)

I approve this message :D haha. This is one of the cuts that I don't like at all. I know there are people on the forums who like it and own it, but I say what I feel.

I really don't see that happening any time soon. If you walk into any Diesel store, the most washes they have are in Safado cut. Second, behind Thavar.

Thavar 830R. Thanks to @DieselBoy786 for the photos. Planning to get this pair. The abrasions and the holes on the back of the knee are amazing.

DC, I am planning to order these in next day or so. That was the pics taken by Dieselboy786 at the Diesel store where he works. I think they are pretty much similar to Nudie lab jeans. I was going through Nudie selvage collection these ones have similar holes at the back of the knee like Thavar 830R

I am planning to get my regular Thavar size 31 X 32 i will add some pics once i receive them. Its not much of cost difference from Nudie lab series Vs Thavar 830R so i prefer to have the diesel.

this wash would be so much better without those awkward crotch holes. reminds me of 882d. is the denim pretty thick?

The jean is very expensive to make, therefore they werent mass produced. No 30 or 34 length.
