Diesel Fall/Winter 2014 FW14 - Page 12

Hahahahahaha thanks!!!! So guess some Nudie selvage ones instead of red thread it's orange ...
The red thread(it's actually a strip of fabric) is on the inside of the outseam. It was just a way of finishing a roll of denim to prevent unravelling. Only visible when you turn them up. Make for a more durable jean.

The thavar 830R is a selvedge denim. Diesel used two types of selvedge creations; one was the American style (for buster 604N i think) and the Thavar 830R is the japanese style of selvedge. The japanese way of making selvedge takes more material and time, and only a limited amount of denim can be made within one process. So although it looks like a plain, small damaged thavar, thats what makes the price high.

I tried it on at our store, and i can fit my regular size. you can tell that the denim is really sturdy, and that its quality for the price

Thanks for the advice on the size. I am going to get this pair from Cultizm, as its tax free for me. Hopefully i will find a discount code before i buy this pair.

Here I will share some thoughts about the new Fall Winter collection based on what I saw in person and online.

So, this Friday I went to Eindhoven where they have a special kiosk at a store called Bijenkorf where they sell Diesel stuff. They had a lot of stuff from the new collection.

I tried on the Buster which in my opinion is nothing special. It has elastane and it fits pretty much like a Regular-Slim Sleenker. This is how i can describe the Buster, it is like a Regular-Slim Sleenker. Fits kind of close to the skin but its not very slim. I needed my regular skinny size. I wear size W30 in Thavar/Shioner/Tepphar/Sleenker so I tried on the Buster in W30 and it fits me well(although I wouldn't buy a pair from that cut in the near future as it is not for my taste)

Other than that I saw the denim jacket Nicola had at all the press conferences and the Fall/Winter Show. It felt comfortable and nice, although it is a little too dirty for my taste and it has too many zippers(unneeded).

I saw the Tepphar 830K and it has nothing to do with the Tepphar 881W  ... And I mean nothing. Some people here referred to the 830K as the "new" 881W wash, but it is not. The 830K is more like Thavar's 816K rather than 881W. It is more greenish/gray than it is blueish. And I didn't like it that much, although it is not that heavy denim and it fits well.

And we are getting more and more from the new collection of Diesel every day here in the Netherlands. I hope that the Fall/Winter 2014 won't be a disappointment after all.

I am planning to order in the next week or so. Once i received the jeans i will add some pics for sure. My initial plan was to buy Thavar 830P and Thavar 833Z ( Blue eyecon ) but i changed my mind now i only want 830R from this season for now.

Did anyone get a chance to preview their A/W DBG Collection? Diesel has really outdone itself this time! So much stuff I'd like to buy! :D

I agree, they look amazing.

There's some nice stuff alright. Will be fun playing size and fit roulette with these new "type" pants. I welcome the challenge.

Personally, I really like the DBG FW14 collection overall so far, even though most pieces I wouldn't wear myself.

What I've figured out so far concerning the new cut names:

Type-241: Superbia (notice the twisted seam, back pockets and overall fit)

Type-244: reminds me of Excess due to the back pockets and their fit, the leg opening might be a little bit smaller though

Type-245: probably a chino-style version of Excess

Type-246: appears to be a low-waist version of Excess (or Type-244, if you wanna call it that way :D) with a Tepphar/Sleenker-like leg opening

I have to say that I've lost orientation with all the different new endings that were added to already existing cuts during the previous seasons.

If there's anyone willing to shed light upon the meaning of codes such as -NP, -FS, RF, I'd be really grateful.

My favourite pieces of the collection are the 15 cm biker pants, I will definitely have to look and try if I can pull those of.

Wearing one of those while riding my bike would look pretty bad-ass, I guess. :D

An other picture of Sleenker 830j.
They look nice IMO but they fit like Leggings.

Thanks for posting this pic, Quettingen. They do fit a little like leggings, but the wash is fantastic. To me, 830J is one of the highlights this season.

doesn't this wash also come in Belther!?? would Belther one maybe be better?

anybody know where i can find belther 830j ? european online store has only sleenker in those wash
post #291 of 815

^^ It does, but it's a matter of personal preference, I feel. I like the Sleenker. :)

Does anyone know when Thavar 831U comes to the stores in Europe and how much it will cost more or less?

I simply love the wash!

has anyone seen thavar-ne 830Q in real life? how close is that shade of grey it to that of the 8QP wash?

it is clearer and brighter than the 8QP, I received Monday in diesel online store

can you take some photos and post them here or send them with a message to me? as for your question on giamat's listing, yes sometimes he is slow to reply cause he's missing but he will eventually reply dont worry

I have created a thread about the grey joggjeans 830Q a month ago with fit pics.

pryv75 you are right. didnt remember you had. how would you compare them against 8QP ? i guess theres no reason of getting both the 8QP and the 830Q since they are very similar in colour, right?

Yes you are right color is similar (grey faded denim) but as long as i can remember the QP had no whiskerings and material is completely different ; 8QP is made with stiff denim when the JJ is soft, stretchy, and so comfy...

Has anybody had the chance to try on Thavar 830P ? If so how is the fit and material feels like ? thanks in advance.
