Some fit pics on a several Diesel jeans, would love some advices.

Thread Starter

So i promised to do some pictures of the newly bought pairs of jeans that i showed you in the "What's your latest purchase?" thread. In the following i will try and post 1 pair at the time explaining how it fits and feel, so most probable it will be a long thread. Very important, as i`m recently trying new styles, I`m gonna ask you guys to help me by giving whatever advice you are willing to give, be it harsh, blunt or totally disapproving, just be genuine about it, that`s all i`m asking... so let the show begin :)

For sanmiguel80 , the Thavar 811P , they are in size W29/L34 :

Picture 1 is in day light , 2 and 3 in artificial light. This wash is very stiff, the denim is like a metal plate really, first time i tried them i could barely get in. In the waist they are little loose (as i`ve read on the forum it`s a normal thing in Thavar) but in the legs the denim is so snug that i couldn`t even walk the first time, especially at the back of the knees (couldn`t bow my legs, sit down on a chair, etc). Q1: Are they gonna loosen up soon? (hope so as they are uncomfortable). At first i thought i need to size down but the tightness of them changed my mind :)

Q2: Does the same wash on Krooley have the same stiffness as Thavar ?  I`m thinking i should have got a more looser cut too (to try on).

For baltimore the Narrot 811A , they are in size W28/L34 :

This is a very soft denim, just a little loose on the waist, they fit me well on the front, not so well on the back, Q3: don`t know if a size down would fix that or maybe a size up for a more baggy effect ?

Their problem is the bottom hem, as it`s only 6" wide, hard to put the jeans on, impossible to get them off, Q4: is bottom hem the same width in all the sizes ? i`m watching this video and they seem to run very loose at the hem (even with the hem rolled up) : minute 1:39

As i`m tired and could barely keep writing this post, i`m gonna end it for now and continue tomorrow with fresh powers. Cya guys.

great read.. thanks for taking time to post this and share w/ everyone else!

What a great thread! I would love if you do more like these in the near future on all the jeans and Diesel products you have! That is great! Nice explanation and everything!

I also think that you should try the SLEENKER soon! I think it would look good on you!

Thavar is like that. It will get softer and better after a while but if it's uncomfortable now, it will stay like this. You won't have the same problem with Krooley.

The narrot looks nice! Awesome wash and nice fit. It's good for summer.

this narrot is perfect IMO

811P will soften after some wears, no worries. My pair was exactly same ;-) Regarding the Krooley 811P, yes, the stiffnes will be same, it's same wash.

And we are back! :) You guys are making me keep them 811P  . Apparently they are sold on ebay with ~300$ so i guess it`s a deal i shouldn`t pass, as i paid on them 150$ on yoox (Romania). I was just searching through some old threads related to 811P and find out the recommandation of baltimore so i will consider that as well:

He actually said to go for a bike ride but I decided to do some squats in my living room. It works like a charm! Thank you baltimore:)

The only hold-back i would have on the Thavar is that being loose on waist whenever i sit down my rump is showing, and i can`t say it`s a pleasant view :D Sadly, there`s no size down available on the site, so if you guys say they fit/look nice otherwise, i`ll try and wear them with a belt. You decide ! :)

P.S.

In case helps anyone my measurements are 34" in waist all around and :

Thavar 811P - 16" waist laying flat

Narrot 811A - 15,5" waist laying flat

For any other measurements just ask.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts. Coming next fit pics of Thanaz 816L

As promised,

Thanaz 816L size W28/L32 (as mentioned i ordered L34 but they`ve sent me L32 :hammer:) :

and Shioner 810M size W28/L34:

They both feel good (each of them having 2% elastan, they are already starting to loosen up a little, which is a good thing as they are overall very tight, definitely not a feeling i am used to as these are my first skinny jeans)

Thanaz : Price : 100 Euro

+  the wash has better colour contrast

+  the back label is a nice lighter brown (easier to match)

-  they are stiffer than shioner although

-  they are only L32, hard to make a good stacking, can`t roll them without my socks showing

Shioner : Price : 88 Euro

+ the denim is much softer than thanaz (feels better to the skin and they are more confortable). At first i couldn`t even close the button fly, now they are loosen up slowly, don`t know how much though.

+ they fit better overall

+ they are L34

- the back label is a dark blue colour (don`t like it contrasting with the light colour of jeans)

I belive on jeans with elastan is much harder to make a good stacking, it just won`t stay the way you want

So, i am more inclined to choose the Shioner , but could use some thoughts about the fitting, which looks better regarding the wash, etc. You guys are making it easier for me, that`s for sure!

man; thanks to the video you posted, at about 2:50 the long hair dude was walking around w/ Krooley 811p rolled up; it looked great for up coming spring/summer so I just pulled the trigger and bought krooley 811p via YOOX...... grrrr.

Good job! , luckily they are on the 15% promotion and i was thinking myself to exchange the Thavar 811P with Krooley. But i need to know first:

1. How is Krooley compared to Thavar in terms of waist looseness? if W29 on Thavar is pretty loose on my waist, what size would i need on Krooley , W28 or W29?

2. Is Krooley for guys with bigger thighs or something, because i`m the skinny type, would they fit me properly ?

P.S. Still waiting for some thoughts about the 2 beauties above, the Thanaz 816L and Shioner 810M :) so i can post pictures of the rest of the jeans (don`t want to overload the thread before getting my answers )

See you in a few hours!

  • ColdSteel, in my opinion they look good on you but you should size up for being more comfortable, don't expect them to stretch a lot! They will stretch out but as much as to to get your body shape. So in my opinion a size larger would be better.
  • I know, I've had a Thavar with 100% cotton and I have to say that it did stretch out but not a full size. And I remember your video of the Tepphar 602M and I think that it wasn't that lose. Well, it is supposed to be a bit in the waist, but don't try to make it even. Diesel is not like other brands. They fit good in the legs but a bit lose on the waist.
This is just my opinion, I don't want to sound like an old fashioned "back in the day when we wore jeans" guy, but I think a size larger will make you feel more comfortable and it won't hurt the look of the good jeans!

  • ColdSteel, Krooley is indeed a cut for guys with larger thighs. But, you can still wear it. It is a comfortable pair of jeans that won't hurt your balls of being too slim like Thavar does.
  • And it all comes to the wash at the end. It doesn't matter the cut(Thavar, Shioner or Krooley) it all comes to the wash at the end. Because some washes will hardly stretch half a CM while some might even stretch a full inch. So there's a big difference.

  • And about the size of Krooley. I will help you by giving you an example with me.
  • So I wear size: W30 in Thavar/Shioner and Belther, but I need size W29 for Krooley/Krayver. So keep that in mind.
  •
  • And I wear my Thavar/Shioner in size W30 although it is a bit loose in the waist... But it is good on my legs and back of the knees. SO keep that in mind. Don't try to even the whole fit of the jeans by just sizing down. These are meant to be a bit lose on the waist(Thavar/Shioner and Thanaz I mean).

  • Hope I helped :)

p.s. Im looking forward for all the other pictures. It's like waiting for the next episode of my favourite TV show. I really do enjoy watching and reading your pictures and posts.

I don't know if this will help, but I'm usually a Thavar and Shioner guy, but tried on Krooley 811p in store and really liked the way they felt. I've got pretty skinny legs, but Krooley didn't look too bad on me I thought. Anyway have a look and see what you think. My normal Thavar/Shioner size is 30/32, but if I was to buy krooleys I would probably size down to a 29. The ones in the picture were a 30/32:

Just for comparison, here is how Thavar fit me:

Indeed, one size up would feel more comfortable, but i have to consider that i can only exchange the Shioner 810M (yoox shop), as Thanaz 816L are from Diesel and the FW collection is over. Furthermore, i couldn`t really decide which one to keep as they are very similar in colour.

Actually, i have just received them (yesterday), as i returned the W30 and exchanged for W28, and surprisingly i can tell no differences between the two sizes (even if there are 2 sizes down), they are still a bit loose on the waist. Anyway, like the first ones they feel good on the skin, i can freely move in them as they are not so snug like Shioner/Thanaz in the same size. So i dont`t know, maybe i am a tepphar guy :-P

By the way, have you bought yours, you said in a message that you want them ?

That`s sad news as i like the jeans snug on the waist, to me it`s not appealing to look like this :

Too bad as the wash is really a killer, i`ve also made some pictures with the rusty lines, they can only be seen from some points of view:

Very nice explanations, indeed helpful! So if W29 in Thavar is a little loose on me, i should choose at least W28 size in Krooley, too bad they are not on that 15% promotion on yoox, I buyed Thavar with 110 Euro and the Krooley would be 150 Euro... kind of hard to pull the trigger :).

Sanmiguel80, i like how Thavar and Krooley fit on you.

That`s a nice thought, sorry it took a day for me to make this new post as i had to do something else yesterday.

I only now realised that the wrinkles that i belive they are supposed to come right behind the knees, on me they come below the knee, which is probably why the jeans are so tight on the knees area as the wrinkles seems to be there to make the denim more flexible. Have i chosen the wrong lenghts and should have gone for L32 instead of L34 ? Zoom in for details on the picture ;)

how tall are you?

I am asking you because once again, Im not sure If you are absolutely familiar with Diesel Jeans but not only they are bigger in the waist but they tend to run longer than usual. SO Basically a size L32 would be almost size L34 in other brands.

Just tell me how tall are you and I will try to help you out.

I have Energie and Replay jeans and they are all in size L32, but when I buy Diesel I usually go for size L30 because otherwise they are too long.

But this might not be the case with you here. Maybe these wrinkles are meant to be under the knees.

From the picture of you about 811p, i can say that L34 is perfect for you, if you choose L32, they will be short. in addition, i also have the same problem like you, my thavars also be tight in the knee, but after a few wears, they will stretch out a little bit, and be comfortable.

Maybe you should also accept the thought that Thavar is just not your cut. I had to do that because it's just a waste of time and money to invest in a pair of jeans that hurts my knees and legs. And it's still supposed to be my size.

That's why I think Shioner and Tepphar fit me best! :)

ColdSteel - i'll let you know when I get my Krooley 811p.  I got them 28x32 as they are only size YOOX had.. my other pair of Krooley is 880w and i sized down to 27x30 and it was a brilliant decision.

Diesel length does run about 1" sometimes 1 1/2" longer than tag size. But that's intended for stacking especially on the skinner cut.

Can't say about krooley but I do have thavar 811p and I had try few pair before I settle on the one I have. And the reason is because on other pairs the heaviest part of knee fading actually falls below the knee.

I`m 1,82m . And yes, i`m not very familiar with Diesel :) as the nearest/only city with Diesel store is at 4 hours train drive and the few times i went there and tried some jeans they never had small sizes, only W30+  bad luck or bad visiting timing (probably on sale when there`s no sizes left), so here i am, struggling to obtain the perfect fitting ( i have no problem accepting if a cut is not my type , for that matter if something doesn`t look good on me be it jeans or jacket or shoes, etc), just want it to fit well on me , this is why i`m here because you guys are familiar with Diesel and everything, and know your thing. And i have to admit that i`m not that much of a fashion guy, i always had to look at others and copy them or combining clothes on the way, and that`s just fine for me

P.S. My Energie Jeans are L34 and in waist W30.

They have W27/L34 so it could be best for me but it`s a pity that i would have to return the 110 Euro Thavar for 150 Euro Krooley, as it`s too late for the Krooleys to arrive before i have to return the Thavar. May i ask what`s your waist measurements and what`s your usual size in Diesel, it would be great to find someone in the forum, same size as me, so i can follow them on new acquisitions :)

The ones with only cotton, did the stretch in the waist too ? (i surely don`t want them looser than they are now)

I`ve seen there are plenty of users who got the Thavar 811P , it would be tremendous if they could share some insights about this particular cut/wash, and anyone can share some thoughts about anything in this thread as it is not like a closed conversation or something :D

If you are 1,82 cm tall. And your Energie jeans are W30L34, then you most probably will need W28L32 in Diesel. This is my personal opinion.

I was lucky because when I was becoming a Diesel fan I had the chance to go and try what I liked, so I knew where my mistake was(looking at completely different sizes)

I am a good 1,78 cm and I wear W30 L 30 in Diesel. I have a couple of pairs of Replay and Energie Jeans, they all are W32L32.

Ok, lets` make this more interesting, i will post some outfits marked by numbers and you guys just tell if the outfit goes well or not (i`m trying some new styles and as i mentioned earlier i`m not that fashion inclined so would need some advices). Plain simple answers YES or NO (hmm...ok, you can give extra thoughts though )

1.  This is an easy one, again the Thavar 811P with Studder-R shirt and Lounge sneakers :
