Narrot sizing

Hello again. As i mentioned in the thread i started a while ago http://www.denimblog.com/c/t/199048/hello-from-romania i have tried a pair of Tepphars in size W30, which were a little loose on the waist so i`ve ordered from abroad a W28 pair knowing they will eventually stretch out at least 1 size. The bad part is i haven`t received them yet so i can`t tell how they actually fit on me. Anyway, recently i decided to go for an outfit seen on diesel collection so i`ve bought almost all the pieces but i still need the jeans (Narrot) and i don`t know what size should i go for, so i`m asking you guys for a little help.

Here`s the Narrots and the outfit:

Now, i don`t know much about Narrots, but it seems to me that they are low waisted, meaning they will take place not on my waist but on my hips, so...i must measure the circumference on my hips, right? (anyway, my body is like straight, hence not much difference between waist and hips girths)
Therefore my measurements are 32" (82cm) on waist and 33" (84cm) on hips and the measurements on my other non-name jeans are 15,7" (40cm) on the waist lying flat (i`m wearing my jeans on the hips hence the blue colour link between body and jeans sizes).
So, maybe someone who has Narrots in his collection could tell me what size should i go (what is the general idea on them, are they running true to size or go 1 size up/ 1 size down?). I know they won`t stretch so i can`t compare to Tepphar...
Anyway, what bothers me is that i found on ebay a W28 pair of the aformentioned Narrots, and the seller is saying that they are 16" (41cm) on waist lying flat (compared to my jeans lying flat 15,7" they should fit me, right?), but then there`s another seller which sells the same pair of jeans size W29 but the measurements are 15,3/4 (smaller than the W28 ???), so i`m a bit confused and need your advices. Thanks.

Hey, welcome here!

First of all I think you need either W29 or W30 from the Tepphar, you are just not used to the loose waist yet. But once into Diesel you will get used to it quickly. Thavar, Tepphar and Shioner tend to run a bit loose in the waist, so this is normal, you usually don't need to go down a size just because the waist is a bit loose. Just get a good belt.

Other than that I think you need a size smaller than your Tepphar. So depending on your Tepphar size, you will be able to determine super easily the size of a Narrot that you need. So let's say that your actual size of Tepphar is W29(even tho it is a bit loose in the waist, but fits pretty well on the legs). So if you have Tepphar in W29, then you need W28 for Narrot. Which is a loose cut itself. It is meant to be worn ankle-short.

p.s. I just saw your post in the other thread that you wear Energie Jeans. Okay, I used to be a huge Energie fan before I came here. I had almost all the cuts they had.

I had Raph, Cuff, Cuff Clean, Catch, New Morris, Syd, & Bluke.

But I have to tell you that Diesel skinny does not fit like Energie skinny and you have to get used to that. The Energie Jeans are more hugging, they have a great waist and it fits great and comfortable. It's not the same case with Diesel, so you have to just accept it and go for it.

Thing is...i like to wear the jeans without any belt, after all, if the jeans look fabulous (especially with the leather tag), then why cover them?

As the Narrot cut goes, i know they are supposed to be weared ankle-short, but am i right saying that they are low-waisted? (they seem to me so). And so, what are the implications on that, i`ve never had low-waisted jeans so don`t know how to approach them.

As for Energie jeans, i`ve only had Timber and Marrey (still have them) but recently i don`t find their washes appealing anymore. The one in the pictures above is Timber (i think it`s like a carrot style, with the seam going from behind top to the front low) and Marrey is a straight jeans, thus  as i`m now searching for more slim/skinny jeans i`m gonna leave them behind.

Hope some forum member owner of Narrot style has almost the same size of me and can share some insights about the exact sizing and the feeling on them.

As a reminder i`m 1,82m (~6 feet) , 70 Kg (154 pounds), 32" (82cm) on waist / 33" (84cm) on hips, and my jeans are 15,7" (40cm) on the waist lying flat .

Hello again! Im not so sure that they are that low-waisted. I just think that the model has them very low on his low and you are getting it from the photos.

I think they might be, but they can't be that low(IMO).

Shioner IMO is a pretty low-waisted jeans just for a comparison.

the denim of 811A Narrot is really soft and its super comfortable. I have them in W30 L32 and the waist aligned is 43cm, which is kinda loose for a W30 btw. just be aware that they end up at the ankle area and have a drop crotch (don`t know if this is the correct term :D )

this is how they look rolled up

Now we`are talking :) . Yes! , the perfect denim for spring-summer, soft and spacious. So, what`s the Diesel differences between one size and another in the waist, from your 43cm to my 40cm is there like 1 or 2 sizes to go down ? I`ve seen your Narrot collection, are they all like the same in waist or do they differ from wash to wash / strenght of fabric?  Which is why this leads to the next question : are they loose because you`ve kept the Diesel size you usually wear or did you sized down on them and they`re still loose? Hope that makes sufficient sense, as i`m struggling for my best English writing here (by far not my first language )

I am aware that they are 3/4 jeans so i`m gonna have to decide whether i take L34 and roll them, or L32 without the rolling. And yes, you are right, they are called "drop crotch" or "low crotch" :)

I`m just gonna submit this message as i will need to ask you something else in just a second and i don`t want to mix the questions togheter :D

So...the second question, this is something i wanted to ask you a while ago but never actually took the time to do it....

Where have you bought your Jarmatocer jacket from ? i`ve had mine brought from USA (online store) and i see that there are some minor differences between yours and mine, like your buttons are metalic/ mine are brown plastic, at the bottom of the zip band there is a green ribbon but yours is the same colour as jacket, mine is a brighter colour than the rest, and...by the pictures i could tell that yours is lighter (more like a shirt) but maybe that`s because i`ve got a smaller size (S) . It seems that i have issues finding the right sleeve lenght on Diesel, as until now the size M would be too long and size S too short (you can see this in the next pictures) :

size M Diesel blazer              VS.          size S Diesel Jarmatocer

And i can shamefully admit that i`m persistently buying Diesel jackets despite this fact lol, gotta love my "be stupid" addiction :D

my usual size is W30, I could have sized down one , but in 30 they are a bit more comfortable. They do differ a little from wash to wash, the other ones are about 1cm tighter in the waist area.

you can go with your regular size and wear a belt, or size one down I guess, but I´m not really a good scale as I size up or down a lot depending on the cut. its your choice but no matter what Narrot stays very loose in the upper block ;)

my Jarmatocer jacket is a sample in size Large. your grey blazer looks like a exception to me, the sleeves look very long for a size M.

Ok, then i`ll try to order W28 and W29 and decide which fits better.

I didn`t say this because it happened 3 years ago when i was thinner and i can`t even remember the size i`ve tried, but i was at a Diesel store and tried on some Narrots (didn`t even know at that time they were called so, but the cut was obviously the same) and i remember that they were very tight in this area :

Now i barely remember that i kinda pulled them on a little hard so maybe i just tried a smaller size than i was then.

The Blazer is Diesel Jrappy from Spring Summer 2009 , sadly i`ve never fully enjoyed wearing it because of the sleeves... and the tailor i`ve talked to said that he couldn`t shorten them without removing the sleeve`s buttons so i kinda droped the idea and i`m thinking of selling the blazer...too bad, i really digged the outfit, was something bald for me at that time, wearing pink :)   I gotta move on...

Thank you and straychev for your great help and let`s hope the Narrots are gonna fit me the way i`m dreaming about.

Didn`t want to brake the flow of the other thread i`ve oppened so...regarding the fit of the narrot...this is how they look on me :

and i want them to look more like this :

i mean... i want the denim not to cluster in the pocket area but to fall straight, and can`t figure by miself if i need a size down or one up.

And one more thing, is the bottom hem getting wider with the larger waist sizes as mine is only 6" (16cm) and i have a hard time pulling the jeans on-off ? :) In the pictures they all seem to have wide bottom hems, and in the 1st picture he even rolled them pretty-high which i can`t do... Any ideas ?

the hem won`t be getting much wider when sizing up I guess

Your dedication to Diesel, your photos of the Narrot and your reviews of the fit and Diesel Jeans in general are making me more inspired for buying Diesel and I feel like I am starting to like Narrot, although it is a very strange cut for me and it's very unusual. But in other words I like what you are doing. And your photos of the Narrot you have are inspiring me for the summer and Im thinking about getting a pair.

I am not sure but I think that you need to do it more often I guess. Im sure there are more people like me out there who like your posts as well.

As I didn't want to open-up a new thread, I just want to ask you guys what size Narrot I should order? Im thinking between size L30 and L32. I am 1,78cm tall. I usually need size L30 in Shioner and maybe L32 in Sleenker. Im somewhere in between size L30 & L32 in Thavar/Tepphar ... as the L30 is a bit short and the L32 is a bit long.

SO my BIG question is, if Im to be ordering these -> http://www.yoox.com/nl/42338951TP/item?dept=men#sts=sr_men80&cod10=42338951TP&sizeId=   (they have them in L30 and L34 on YOOX as well, that's why I'm asking)

What size shall i chose - L30 or L32?

p.s. karacho, What is the name of the shoes from the photo that you have included? Are they Diesel?

Go with L32, so you can roll them up a bit. 30 is very short and starts at the ankle...

Shoes are diesel konga

that's always the best idea, but being a student leads to no spare money for 2 pairs of expensive denim, even though I will end up with only one of them.

Haha, thanks for the idea, though.

Sorry i couldn`t respond faster... now that i managed to put all the pictures/videos and some thoughts about the fit in one post, you can check on my other thread how the Narrot length goes in L34 with and without rolling up and make an idea.

I agree that you should go with the longer size (L32) as you always can roll them up if they are too long. Just keep in mind that the jeans are very narrow at the bottom hem so you gotta un-roll them everytime before getting them off of you, or else it will be hard to impossible to do it :)

Btw, can you give a link to L34 on those Narrot 812W , i can`t find them only in L32 on yoox?

Here are some pictures i stumbled upon searching the internet when i was looking for this model:

Processed By eBay with ImageMagick, z1.1.0. ||B2Processed By eBay with ImageMagick, z1.1.0. ||B2Processed By eBay with ImageMagick, z1.1.0. ||B2

Here`s a video i posted before, you can see how they look rolled-up:

Just keep in mind that if you roll them up you are gonna "break" the feng pattern that the jeans have all over, as the internal denim is plain white, on the Narrot 811A i have it doesn`t matter as the denim is the same colour in and out. Just a heads up, if you care for things like that

I would like to buy them too, as i have the white sandals in the this video:

but without a discount code i`m still holding the trigger :)

I`ve never thought of...could it be considered spam or something if i upload too many pictures, maybe the storage on forum is limited or i don`t know?, hope it isn`t harming in anyway...

Thanks once again for all the info and photos that you have provided me with. I really appreciate your helpfulness. Thanks!
And your stuff doesn't bother me, it's rather interesting because it is always with good details and very well explained. I see how you get inspired by the Diesel videos and I do too. This is what we have in common. I get inspired by their models and their styles. That's great!
