Question about Shioner 805A and Thavar 8x2?

So, I just ordered this gorgeous pair from Amazon in both 34x32 and 33x32. The 34x32 are pretty loose in the waist and just sort of hanging there without a belt. Even with a belt, they fit a bit loose unless I pull the belt all the way back. It's not a huge issue but still annoying. The primary issue is below the knees. It seems too loose and doesn't completely look like a skinny jean like my 33x32 Thavar 806U does. Maybe too much extra material in the legs or something? Although, at least it's not tight at all in the thighs. However, I think if this pair stretches, I'm screwed.

However, the 33x32 is ultra tight above the knees. Not leggings tight but above the knees in the thigh area, I can definitely feel it gripping my skin. In fact, before putting it on a few times, I struggled to put the button on and couldn't properly zip up the jeans. They were just that tight. After taking them on and off a few times, they are a bit hard to button and zip but the waist is solid. Still, there is pretty big difference between this and the 34x32 as you can see in the pictures.

The thing is that the 33x32 Thavar 806U and 33x32 Shioner 805A look similar when I wear them but the Thavar is much more comfortable and I can easily put it on. Have a look at the pictures. What are your recommendations? Also, I plan on getting the Thavar 8x2 soon in 33x32 or 34x32 off a member on here but what size should I go for? Are they as tight as the 805A above the knees?

Actually, the waist isn't a problem at all. The only reason the button is hard to put on as well as zipping up the zipper is because of how tight the denim is above the knees. It's really tight in the thigh area above the knees but feels great in the legs. Will the area above the knees and below the waist stretch too making it easier to button and zip up?

33 look better. but I can say that this is a matter of taste. 34 does not look bad, anyway

Yeah, they look to have a bit but I think they are slightly longer than other typical Shioners and Thavars so maybe they just appear that way? I'm no expert on stacking though.

Sorry for the bump guys. I'm in the process of purchasing the Thavar 8x2 though and since it is a thick denim like Shioner 805A, I wanted to know if I should go for 33x32 or 34x32. Unfortunately, I cannot try both on before purchasing. The Shioner 805A is very tight in the thighs and above the knee but perfect in the legs so I'm keeping it and it's stretched a bit so far. It's also pretty low cut so it sort of sags off (when sitting) even with a belt on. Anyways, does anyone know if the Thavar 8x2 is even thicker and stiffer than the Shioner 805A?

@ summeroflove, You should get 33 x 32 in 8X2 they pretty much fit the same. i have both of them in 31 x 32, I feel the same as you about the Shioner, they sit little lower compared to Thavar. but i really like shioner though the cut is awesome.

Okay, I see. Are they even slightly looser in the thighs than the Shioner805A though? Because, they were ridiculously tight in the thighs the first time I wore them. They fit a bit better now though. I'm just worried if I get 34x32, it will be too loose in the waist and too wide in the legs. That was the issue with the Shioner805A if you look at my fit comparisons.

Your 33 X 32 looks great, As Aramis mentioned its matter of taste. But if its me i will go for 33 x 32 any denim will stretch eventually its only cotton icon_wink.gif go with 33 x32 in Thavar as well. As lot of people mentioned here Thanaz/Thavar/Shioner fit similar when it comes to measurements i think.

Well, if you wear the same size in both Shioner 805A and Thavar 8x2, I think that's convinced me. The only issue I see is if I get 34x32, the waist will be too loose and the legs too wide but the thighs will be comfortable. That's the case with the Shioner 805A.

End of the Day what ever makes you comfortable and happy. So you have to make that decision what you want icon_smile.gif

It all depends how much you will wear each pair. Imo 8x2 is thin so get your standard size or even a smaller if they fit and you are going to wear them much.

+1, you have to make a choice.

I had the same question as well.

I have the Shioner 817H in a 29 and a Shioner 813S in a 28. The 817H is just a little, just a little, loose on the thighs, but my waist is a bit loose.
For the 813S, i've worn it a lot, so its getting a little loose. Should i just go with 28 for the 805A wash? I dont mind it tight tight, but its just my calves are kinds big...

Hi - I think it also depends on the Length - if you get L30 i say get 29x30 in 805A.  I regret not getting it and got 28x30 and its tight.. i still manage to fit it but you will notice the wasit sits a bit lower than how Shioner's suppose to fit.  Thus if you bend forward your plumber's butt clevage will be showing.

I also have Shioner 817H 29x30, so I understand its a bit looser than average.  But 805A is stiff & thick so I still recommend go w/ 29.

If you having trouble with your calves go with 29 X 30. As DC mentioned, 805A is Stiff & Thick, Compare to my 805A & 817H. My 805A calves are slightly tighter than 817H.

29x30 will be better

I mean, my 817H is a bit loose on the waist and the thighs together. I also have a thicker denim shioner, the 74Z, in a 29 x 32. That one is kind of tight in the waist and the thighs.

Will the 805A fit something like the 74Z?
