Reduce Waist Thavar 0807C?

Hi I have just bought the Thavar 0807c from online as my country do not have a Diesel boutique here. To my horror the size 30 of the Thavar jeans is not true to size ( the website I bought from stated otherwise). It is actually more to a 33 inches when I measure it with a tape. Thus, the jeans is too large in 1 or 2 inches in the waist area. It fits well in other areas though.

Returning it is the last option as I really love this jeans and it has ran out of stock from the website. Is it advisable if I take it to a tailor and alter the waist, or should I wash it in hot water to shrink the waist size?

Return it man. It'll only ruin it if you alter it. And washing it will ruin the stacking.

I'll have to disagree here, I often reduce the waist on my jeans because my waist is apparently disproportionate to my thighs according to denim makers. If I size down, my thighs don't go through the jeans at all sometimes.

Taking the waist in is no huge alteration and, in MY experience, doesn't alter the fit of the jeans in any other area (at least not with a decent tailor). It'll obviously reduce your selling price later, if you intend to do that.

Return it and order right size... You will find them online somewhere.
