LOL Aramis! But I do agree that if this appointment is indeed a done deal, then things will change, and not all of them may be for the better.

it´s already a done deal guys ;)

I am very curious in which direction he will lead Diesel to.. Could be a good or a bad one, time will tell :D

Hopefully the campaigns will be bigger again with more promotion like for example "Worksville" or "Diesel Island" with a lot of pics, catalogoues and videos (and to install someone who is able to write the correct washcode under the pictures lol)

Yes I think they will make new washes from meat. But seriously, this is really a terrible decision for diesel fans.
This may be similar to the situation with Dior, now this brand jeans just die.

What he says in this other interview led me to feel a bit more positive... but yes, like Karacho says, only time will tell. Fingers crossed.

Do not know, but I hate him))

It could be a good thing. Diesel has been quite stale lately and SS13 was just awful. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do. There are plenty of denim brands out there if its not my cup of tea.

I do not think this season was awful. We just got used to that diesel should produce several super washes each season. But this season has given us the 811p and I think that this is one of the best washes in diesel.

S/S 2013 has been a little bit dull, but I do agree with Aramis that 811P is the saving grace of the season - it is easily one of Diesel's very best, if not the best, blue wash in the last five years.

they had 2 very strong seasons with A/W 2011 (880W, 881W, 880M just to name a few) and my personal favourite preview S/S 2012 (74Y, 68Z, 887D)

in my oppinion it`s very hard  to top that, but the aim should be to produce at least as awesome collections as these two.

the problem was that there was no flashy wash you know.....i hope they will make at least 2 or 3 nice special washes.....i mean jeans like 880w,73j,8ww etc.

I do not think they will repeat 73j or 880w or something similar. They left it.

Lady Gaga has a stylist?

Joking aside, hopefully he'll be able to maintain the ethos of the brand

Maybe it's a good thing.

Anyone knows who's in charge now?

Renzo was and now he handed it over to nicola as far as I understood

Oh I thought Renzo was the boss man, taking care of the whole company.... And this guy is the designer working for Renzo.

The last guy in a dedicated creative role they had was Bruno Collin, but he left quite a few years ago. I believe the position had been vacant up till now.

True that, 880M is another super-innovative wash. I call it my "Filthy New Age" jean. ;)

Oh, the horror!

It's definitely a done deal, I got the press release from Diesel a couple of days ago and plan on making a blog post soon. Here is some info from the press release before I post though so you guys can see first. I'm not sure what I think though!

I guess we can't judge but my main concern is the price of the jeans. All my friends think I'm a crazy mother fucker for going over 150 euros to get nice jeans, they think I'm a masochist when I buy them for 240 euros but the more we're moving forward the more the prices are climbing and nowadays you don't really buy the quality but the name. And with Lady gaga's stylist coming Diesel can decide to sell jeans for much more now.
