Price of cotton has gone through the roof as countries producing are facing failing crops and low yields every year pushing the price of cotton up. And these new treatments aren't cheap to create. Production, special starch, ovens to bake it in added with paying the people full time wages at European rates all add up to more expensive jeans. And I think diesel as a company is reacting differently to the new economic situation. Instead of making products cheaper to keep the disenfranchised middle income they seem to be moving into a more upscale market. Not quite Dior but definitely more than they were.

I also noticed that Diesel is adding new material to the jeans, Lyocell, which is more expensive than cotton. SAFADO 804K and TEPPHAR 804K has it.

Indeed, even though its a more mass produced version on rayon. But it is quite hard to to work with, probably why its more expensive.

Is it just me or some of you feel the same way that many of the diesel authorized seller websites have terrible fit pics. They make the jeans look like crap haha. Because of that I often wait until I see them in person or in members fit pics here.
