Darron 803W and Tepphar 804K fit pics and review

Firstly the Darron, I wasn't sure on this one but i picked it up for a bargain on eBay(thanks grag!) paid only 200euro for it!!! It was an offer I just could not refuse. When they arrived it was love at first sight. Thick, stiff and rich denim given a heavy 3D evolution treatment. The colour is not far off 8X2 but a couple of shades darker. It also lacks the dirt which turned me off the 8X2. It basically turned into what I wanted from the 8X2 but which the 8X2 failed to deliver. It's thicker than the 8X2 as well. Darron is quite a nice cut, quite slim but comfortable in the thigh and no builders ass when you bend over. Plenty of details on the cut to make this wash/cut combo worthy of the blue eyecons title(the first one since 8X8 if you ask me). Don't get me wrong, for those of you who suffer through  these rambling reviews know how big of a fan I am off the blue eyecon washes and recent ones are stellar, 881Z, 805A and 888P to name a few but they haven't been unique like the 8X8 was. The 803W is by new means unique but like its recent predecessors it is a beautiful, versatile jean that can be worn a hundred different ways.

Round two on this wash, tried it in Safado but since recent weight loss and even more recent illness Safado just does not suit anymore. Such a pity beacause I quite liked the wash so I decided to try tepphar for the first time. It was not what I was expecting. I thought it would be very tight all over, but it's quite comfortable, rise is slightly higher than thanaz and this has made for a quite comfy jean. Hem is quite narrow, about an inch tighter than thanaz. So when I tried them on it was not a good fit until tried on with footwear then this cut turns totally awesome. They stack like a BOSSSS!!!!! And this wash which is without 3D stacking so they look great over shoes and turned up to reveal that red under dye makes these a cool wash in this cut. The denim is quite thin and a little flimsy and this can make look and feel them quite cheap but this happens quite a bit in lyocell blends. But the blend is very strong as lyocell doesnt stretch(but cotton does so it will stretch but the higher the lyocell count the less the stretch). It is a navy fade wash with lots of black spots and a wire brush applied to the left leg like the 74Y wash. And of course, the red exposure underneath gets my juices flowing, but to be honest if it didnt have this I wouldn't probably look at it twice.

Lastly I picked up a diesel iPhone case. Its cool, hard plastic coated in a plastic leather-ette. The inside is lined with velveteen emblazoned with "for succesful living". Cool case which comes in two pieces which fits snugly over the phone with raised edges to protect the screen and the velveteen stops the phone from getting scratching when taking on and off.

Thank you for reading these rather self indulgent ramblings but 10 days in a hospital bed have tested my resolve and boredom has gotten the better of me.

Ya know qtjoker, you're not the first person to comment on my likeness to Adam Lavine. Or should I say his likeness to me!!!

It's more of a grey/sand colour, and 804K is better in tepphar but that's just me, a year ago I would've said Safado so it all depends on which cut suits your shape and the socks, well, my fiancé bought them for when we were in diesel store in NYC, crazy lady bought me 5 pairs all weird and wonderful. She said coz I don't get to wear diesel to work ill have a little but of my favourite brand hidden. Quite thoughtful I think!!

Both fits excellent. Great reviews I might add.

Nice looks Phukette! Im so glad I got 804k I'm tepphar other than safado. They're awesome jeans head turners. The 803u I got recently really bland but kinda like that way with certain styles. Those 803w do
Look nice like a darker calmer 8x2 but krooley 801n despite its price is going to b an awesome jean & can't wait to receive em.

Looking fantastic as usual, man.  I got my Tepphar 804k today and I absolutely love them.

Great beard, by the way.  Mine was two months strong before I had to shave it off for my best friend's wedding.  The sacrifice of being a groomsman!

Another great Phukette review! Darron fits you so much better than it does on me. Good to see you finally getting it right with 804K! Congrats on the great purchases!

Thanks guys, I made a deal with the missus that I can have my beard back for the winter months. Also my stag night in February is going to be an anchorman themed affair with myself as Ron Burgundy. So the plan is to keep the beard until then so when I shave I can leave a genuine moustache. Heehee can't wait!
And I think the krooley 801N is gonna be a real show stopper but something is stopping me from pulling the trigger....oh yeah, it's the price! Here that wag is €295. Maybe in the sales.

the tepphar look awesome!! i was thinking of going down the route of the tepphar(after my thread ealier) the only thing that concerns me is that as ive got short skinny legs would they look like mc hammer trousers on me or are they no looser than thanaz or thavar at the top?can anyone do a comparison for me??

Wow those darrons are sick! Both look great on you man!

They are looser than thanaz in the thigh so be careful of the mc hammer legs. Maybe try allsaints cigarette or pipe jeans. Great for very skinny legs.

thanks phukette you're a big help, you know your onions!!how do you know about All Saints when you are across the pond?? ive got two pairs of cigarette jeans, two pairs of skinny chinos and a set of skiny cords too,you are right about them being great for people with skinny legs like me.maybe i will stick with my thavar then if the tepphar is a bit looser on the thigh.ive got the worst shape legs ever, its so difficult to get jeans to look right, not only are they short but skinny and bandy too, they completely distort the cut of a jean:(

Yeah but you can easily size down on tepphar to get overall skinny.

I'm in Ireland and allsaints opened a store here a year ago but I've liked the brand for a while (I'm a big kings of Leon, muse and stereophonics fan so it's hard to avoid the brand really). But I have I say allsaints don't have the washes that diesel does but the jeans are a great fit (I'm more of an Iggy man myself) but I love the apparel, jackets, leathers, tees, shirts and knitwear. It's a brand that really appeals to me. The cuts and fabrics fit the way I want them too and I love the look.
Check out the allsaints appreciation thread I started here. It's a slow burner but the more contributors I get the better. Planning a big splurge next week in ye allsaints store so I'll have new stuff to add to the thread. You should check it out.

oh i didnt realise you were in ireland i thought you were in the u.s.a! im a massive all saints fan,i pretty much exclusively shop there on line, they seem to be bang on trend, hats off   to them but you are right about the lack of washes on their jeans, the indigos suck bad compared to diesel.i will check out the all saints appreciation thread

I just go for the diesel/allsaints combo. Diesel for jeans and allsaints for the rest. Awesome brand.

I wore my 804k all day today and I can honestly say at this point that they are my favorite pair of Diesels that I have ever owned.  They're so gorgeous in sunlight.  I can't even describe it.
