Limited Edition Marc Jacobs Croc Stamped "Peanut" Stones Bag
This beauty is from the Fall 2007 Stones Collection and was extremely limited. I did a little research and am almost certain it was the only one in this colour made. The retail was $2350 and all the original tags and care cards, albeit slightly aged, are included with the dust bag.
The official colour is “Peanut” and the bag is beautifully crafted with crocodile stamped leather and plain leather accents. The luxurious details include a taupe leather lined interior, stitched corners, stylish art deco blue stones, and gorgeous hammered gold strap hardware that is reminiscent of the Baroque line. The bag measures approximately 17" W x 13" H x 3" D with a 19" strap drop, so you could comfortably use it cross-body. It has a magnetic flap closure, one interior zip pocket, and one large interior slip pocket.
While there are a few flaws, I honestly don't believe they detract from the bag, as it's nothing your eye is immediately drawn to. There is gentle wear to the corners and photo 11 shows some slight darkening on the back as well as a small scuff on the leather. The part of the strap that connects to the hardware shows a bit of wear from rubbing against the hardware, and there are a few light pen marks in the interior. The darker flecks throughout the bag should be regarded as part of the leather, rather than a defect. The bag overall is in gently used pre-owned condition.
