I recently bought a pair of fake Evisu EU ED jeans (lower quality than the actual Evisu Japan brand). They were a size 25 with an inseam of 27". They were a bit snug on the waste, but the overall fit was on point. Now I'm looking to invest part of my last paycheck in authentic raw denim, if I receive some guidance. I don't want to waste my money on something fake again =_=" Please help! I'm 5' 2" with measurements are 32" around the hips and 27 higher up on the waist area.

Ack, sorry you got stuck with a pair of fakes! Though I don't know Evisu well and couldn't authenticate them if I tried, I might suggest that the fact that a (I assume) regular-length pair came in a 27" inseam could be a clue--fakes often have much shorter inseams than authentic pairs, probably because of the predominantly shorter-legged figure types in the areas where they are made. Back before I learned how to authenticate, I had a few pairs of fakes that I never really needed to hem (despite the fact that I have a 30.5 flats inseam and 32 heels inseam--quite short for my height--and I usually have to hem everything). Good luck finding that perfect authentic pair, and welcome!
