Made in Italy insignia?

Is the green/red/white striped stitching on the back of the waistband the signal that a pair of jeans is made in Italy these days?

But any particular model/wash will only be made in one place, right? For example, I won't find Viker 88Z both with and without the MII insignia (unless one happens to be old stock), if I understand correctly?

One wash could be made in different countries, so e.g. 88Z could be Made in Italy and Made in Romania for example.

but I guess a certain wash + cut combo is only made in one country. So there is no way for a Thanaz 71J f. ex.  from Italy AND a Thanaz 71J from Tunisia.

 

 

Only possible way is a pair from Adidas-Diesel. F. ex I have a Thanaz 8IE from Adidas-Diesel = MII . But the original Diesel pair Thanaz 8IE is from Tunisia.

Got it. I was wondering because on the Diesel site it would appear that the Viker 88z is from Tunisia, since it has no stripes on the back of the waistband. The pair I tried a few weeks ago in Bloomingdale's said "Tunisia" on the tag. Saks, however, shows that same jean on its website with the red/white/green. I am assuming that it's just an old photo, from a prior season, when substantially all of the jeans were Italian?

There are pairs which are made in different countries.. 884c 880i are the recent ones.
