Does Diesel have a budget-range (now) ?

I keep seeing diesel jeans on UK online stores, and they all seem to have similar wash codes that I've never heard of, usually starting with R0

As an example, mandmdirect.co.uk has a bunch of vikers and safados, many of them don't specify the wash - but the ones that do, as I said, are weird, but all similar to each other.

I thought maybe diesel's started selling a discount range, to online and department stores?

R0 means re-release of wash and jeans will go to the outlets usually.

aha!

ok so can you then apply a rule that if you subtract the R0 you get the original wash?

eg. 8IW becomes 0R8IW ?

any difference at all in the quality?

yes, there could be small difference in details (e.g. backpocket stitching). I don't know about the quality issues in re-releases.
