got my braddom 816h's yesterday. really hard to capture this wash indoors. will try to post some more pics outside soon.
Help me decide on this. I got a couple of leathers from the Allsaints sale.
First the Peyto biker jacket, which I had my eye on for a long time. But as Phukette would say, it was shockingly expensive. Getting it for nearly 60% off was a no-brainer. This one is a keeper for sure.
Now, the Level biker jacket was also a good deal for 50% off, and it looked pretty interesting so I ordered one to check it out. I got it a size larger (medium) so I had more room in it.
Anyway, even though it's a good deal it's still $315 and it's basically the same cut as the Peyto. Think I should keep?
thanks braddom is still prob my second fav cut. they may look good but they are not comfortable. they are hella tight on the waist, but i compensated for the expected stretching of this wash (they're pretty thin only 10.5 oz) we will see. i bought this wash before in size 30x32 and sent them back as i couldnt get the top button even buttoned. luckily the 31x32 is a much better pair w/ better contrast on the fading and better and more details.
Aahz - actually because I know you got other black leathers.. I'd keep the 2nd one.. its much more unique and if you already have black leather jacket I think adding another one to your collection is does not yield as much satisfaction vs the maroon leather jacket in my opinion. yes color is funky but somehow that's what draws me to it.. very punk.
Alright guys, I see what you mean. Thanks for the honest feedback. I'm sending this Level back because it has some small cuts in the leather on the right breast.
But I'll drop into the local store and exchange the Peyto for another Level, if I can.
Okay, so I got up bright and early to hit the store with a firm game plan ... only to chuck it out the window.
Surprisingly they didn't have the Level in-store even though they are in abundance online. But they did have the Peyto in medium, so I decided to check it out first.
The first medium was quite bigger - sloppy across the shoulders and the sleeves went down to my knuckles.
I found another medium that fit totally different - bigger but more fitted in the shoulders and arms.
So I got it. :)
What I like about this jacket versus the Avern is that it's more casual. The Avern is cleaner, more formal looking, more aviator looking. But also the Avern's leather is so much thicker and stiffer that it's very difficult to layer with anything else.
And I may still get the Level again.
I recently picked up some stuff from Marshalls for a steal.
