The 801a is really confusing. On the site and Asos it looks dark grey, and on Revolve Clothing, Ssense and the pictures you uploaded it looks navy with grey, which looks much nicer.

How does it really looks?

Well here i am wearing my thavar 8x2 with my new diesel rangers/boots from the fall/winter 2012 collection. I also bought a nice jumper and will post pics of it with my jeans and shoes.

In all honnesty the pictures don't make the outfit as good as it is.

:-) Don't trust seller, usually they don't know anything about (new) cuts / washes, they just sell jeans. Also it's common on diesel online store, they listed the old washes or even re-released washes as new, lulz. I really doubt Thavar 8B9 is "new":

Regarding the Cassidy boots, I bought them in black 8.6.2010 (more than 2 years ago) for 10 euros, see screenshot bellow. Boots were available in 3 colors, same as now. So I don't understand or better to say the salesman doesn't understand the meaning of words "latest collection" ;-)))

Ireland has 4% more VAT, but the price is 18% more......... I can't think of anything else which has an effect on the price.
