Good point. I'm trying to mix things up a little bit and try something different. I'm also a jeans person.

I have a pretty good offer for a L30 Thavar. I usually wear size L32, but the offer i have for a L30 Thavar 888P is tempting.

So I would like to ask those of you who own it or have tried it on, how is the length on it? Is it like every other Thavar or runs a bit short in length? I really hope that it runs a bit long than usual Thavar. I tried searching on this thread but I got even more confused. Some say its longer, others say its shorter, so I don't know who to believe and who not to believe.

Anyway, I just want to know if it will fit me well.

If L32 fits you perfect, then Thavar 888P L30 will be short. I normally wear L30, but my Thavar 888P L32 doesn't feel long because of the pre-stacking; it just stacks a little more than my other Thavars. I pulled out the pre-stacking on my 888P and inseam measures out to a little under 34", if I let the hem go inseam naturally measures out to about 32" with the pre-stacking. I would measure L30 would be 32" pulled taut and 30" with the pre-stacking.

So if I normally wear 32L in thavar, should I get 34L in 888P? I'm 6'1".

No go with 32L. I am 6'1 tall as well and wear 31 X 32 in 888P and they fit me perfect. The stacking will settle down after few wears.

I think that what they are trying to explain is that Diesels and Thavars in general tend to run a bit longer (whatever size you are) and they are saying that if you L32 then it will fit you perfectly. Because I wear L32 but it is a centimetre or two longer usually. 888P would be just perfect in L32 if you usually wear L32.

A quick question to all the Thavar 888P owners.

How is the fit at the waist and thighs? Im asking this because Im about to pull the trigger on the 888P and I don't want to be spending a sh*t load of money on an old model and to receive something that won't fit me.

I got it about the length, If I wear L32, then the L32 will be perfect for me. But I saw so many comments about sizing up and down that I got confused. I hear its pretty thigh and its hard to fit in them because it is a very stiff and hard denim.

Just let me know what to do. I usually wear W30 L32 in all the Thavars/Tepphars that I have had.

I got my regular size which is 31 X 32 and they fit me perfect. Stick with you Thavar size.

I contacted the guy from eBay so he can send me photos of the Thavar 888P and what I received was a bit of a disappointment for me actually. What do you guys think about this particular shade of the 888P as they are all different from each other. I have seen 3 shades of the 888P so far. And they are as follows:

1. blueish

2. yellowish

3. whiteish

So what do you guys think of this one? I personally don't really like it.  I feel like it has been worn especially because of the back of the jeans... Seem like they are used and the colour is faded.

Im kind of afraid to pull the trigger on them as they would be around 200 euro with all the shipping, handling and import fees. Thats a lot for something that Im not sure if I really like.

I really need your opinion on the colour and shade and if it is just the lightning because this is a warehouse and they don't have many windows. But still looks pretty yellow-white instead of blue.

I personally like the blue version of 888P the most.

Take this photo for example. You can see the white one(on the bottom) , blue is in the middle and yellow version is on top. -> http://upic.me/i/g8/dsc03222.jpg

This is how I want them to look like, this is the absolute best fade/color/shade or whatever you want to call it. I just call this a real Thavar 888P Blue Eyecon, as it really is what I want my 888P to look like(color-wise) -> http://cdn.denimblog.com/2/27/271d6955_DSC_0908.jpeg (this is a photo from this thread I think)

Which version is the one that the seller from eBay has sent me, please let me know. Give me your opinion.

P.s. Here are attached the photos of the jeans I will receive If I buy them from the seller on eBay.

I didn't order 888p yet but I think I will skip this wash as it seems to be a gamble. I saw some pics of them that looked very nice and a whole bunch that looked like shit - something I wouldn't wear. I also noticed that there are a few versions of this wash.

Unless you can see the whole jeans you can't see any difference. They look exactly the same as mine to be honest.

I know, this is exactly why Im afraid to order it, as it may arrive in a shade/color that I absolutely hate(like yellowish). And also the guy on eBay set the price up... The jeans were $210 yesterday morning, now they are $245 ... that's bananas... Just because i told him I will buy from him for sure... he decided he will get some more money from me somehow, but Im not spending a sh*t load of money on something that might arrive in the ugly colour. The import charges are doubled as well and you have to pay them at checkout, so you pay them directly to him which is also kind of lame, as they used to be $49 yesterday, and they are $100 now...

Take a look -> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171354526932

Yes, I know. I asked him to measure the inseam as well, he didn't and just sent me two quick photos that don't show much as they are with flash and I can only see 1/8th of the jeans really...

Kind of disappointed from this seller with his computerised answers to all my questions and his will to just sell them and get my $$$...

I hope they are the same as yours, as I think I have seen yours on some photos here and they look good. We will see.

I will keep you posted if Im ordering them or not.

This Jeans - Thavar 888p - is the best jeans that Diesel realesed ever. All new washes was boring and unintersting after couple of months. This wash still intersting and wanted after 2.5 years!!!

Please give a little respect to this model, and from my experience, don't hesitate on this wash, no way.

Does anyone knows where i can find thavar 888p in size 27 or 28? I found one ebay seller selling at $311 usd, do you guys feel its too expensive for a old model? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Diesel-Jeans-Thavar-888P-Skinny-Fit-Straight-Leg-0888P-/360891752590?pt=UK_Men_s_Jeans&var=&hash=item5406d3208e

James from jpr clothing is selling them. They'll be brand new and 311 is a good price for a new pair. Having said that, contact him, tell him your a member here and he'll offer you a discount. You can contact him here. His handle is stylecentre

I wish they were not as yellow then I would consider buying them. I don't like yellow washes. Now I'm considering buying 8880m instead of 888p but I don't like that distressed part on the knee. I know I'm very picky :]

"The jeans were $210 yesterday morning, now they are $245 ... that's bananas... Just because i told him I will buy from him for sure"

if after contacting seller, he decides to increase the price of the item, completely ignore him and get the jeans from other seller.
I know some of the eBay sellers to that. When they notice someone is interested in buying their item they increase the price.
You can contact him again and ask him to lower the price or you will get them someplace else.
