Technically, my first designer "jeans" were some 7 for All Mankind corduroys I scored for cheap at Marshalls (late 03 or early 04). It wasn't until a couple years afterward that I began wearing premium denim exclusively, though.

I bought my first pair of True Religion from the TR outlet in Carlsbad, Ca. My first pair of designer denim was 7fam hand me down

Good question! My first pair was a pair of Citizens of Humanity jeans that I got super cheaply at Loehman's, that was in 2004 (5?) way back when they actually sold reduced designer denim not just special purchase.
